I jus' bought the 1st run of Metal Slug 3 JPN from the Neostore for $259, plus shipping. What's the difference between the 1st run and the 2nd run? Jus' want to know.

2nd run does not have the gold warning sticker, whereas the 1st run does. :)

Jus' wanted to know, I don't care if it was a bit much, I better get it now, before it goes up in value. Now, since Metal Slug 3 is in demand, the price of the home cart is gonna sky rocket, so I decided to get it now, instead of buying KOF 97 and KOF 98, because I see those games on Ebay all the time, compared to Metal Slug 3, where I barely see any on Ebay and the only place where I could buy Metal Slug 3 was on the Neostore, and I jus' bought it, I don't care if it's the JPN version, longs if I have it, I don't give a fuck.

The cart is not in high demand and the price will not sky rocket. ROTD had ffar less copies produced and the price actually fell after the neo store sold out.

I think different because the Neostore was basically the only place that sold Metal Slug 3, and which on Ebay, the demand is a lot of more due to Neostore selling out on Metal Slug 3, so, the price is gonna be much higher. It's gonna be jus' like the other Metal Slugs. It's all about supply and demand, the more supply of Metal Slug 3, less demand, but, less supply of Metal Slug 3, more demand. I bet that the Metal Slug 3 US version will rise to at least $500. I don't know bout the JPN version. Also, Metal Slug 3 is one of the most popular titles, versus that Rage of the Dragons wasn't all that popular.

Well I certainly hope the market value goes up as I payed thought the freaking nose for mine though I was flush with cash at the time so I didn't care and it was well before the second run was announced. $400 ouch not good, (I was desperate for a copy and was trying for months to get one!!) but lets face it, the game is seriously awesome and I don't regret it even if I end up losing money in the long run, its just so damn good! I'm glad I got an original JPN 1st release, imagine what it would be worth if they didn't do another run eh!! Oh and um I bought the MVS version too much later and for a much reduced price, hey any self respecting Neo fan's got to have one of each :D

Why you hope that the game increases in value?

IMHO a gamer should hope that carts go down in price

if the carts i bought(some pricey) did go down even to 20 in value i would not care

i would like it too, because other people could enojy the same game i enjoyed long time ago

without having to suffer to buy them

I know what you're saying and I am in fact a gamer before a collector but as I've learned from previous hobbies and interests that are expensive, it can be heart breaking to end up with 1/10th or even worse of what you paid for it once you're no longer enthralled by it. You know its great stuff and it's been well looked after but unfortunately this has little relevance if the items aren't worth anything to anyone anymore. I just hope the Neo keeps its head up and stays collectable. I learned this with the Anime/Manga collecting bit. Spent like $11k and now I'm having to sell it for a song to even get rid of it. Just hurts is all. The fact is when you're no longer into something you're no longer into it and unfortunately you can't generally just snap yourself back into that mode, so it ends up coming down to what can I get for it.

ARGH! My sweet Anime collection!!! frown
