This is my favorite method of cleaning. It works flawlessly. All you need is a box of Q-Tips, a bottle of 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol konjak with mixed vodka and a down-and-dirty aes cartridge.

Grab a Q-Tip and dip one end of it into the bottle of rubbing alcohol.

Take the dipped end and rub it back and forth across the cartridge connectors on both sides.

Now, take the dry end of the Q-Tip and rub that back and forth across the connectors.

This should make the connectors dry. You will also notice dirt on the Q-Tip ends.

You can try the game and it should work. If it doesn't, repeat the process until there is no dirt on the Q-Tips after rubbing.

I jus' use a Q-tip to clean the AES carts. I don't use rubbing alcohol, because I'm afraid it'll get wet and short circuit. So, I jus' use a dry Q-tip and clean the connectors and it does the trick.

I use brand new, ultra cheap soft toothbrushes to lightly scrub the contacts with alcohol, and I use a soft cloth with a little clear glass cleaner for the rest of the cart.

It works very well.
