24 hours later a beast has arose from plywood and some screws. Guys I just built my 1st arcade cabinet. I finished painting it five minutes ago and dam it looks sweet so far. If some one would like to host some pictures for me that would be great. And once the paint dries I’m going to stencil on some SNK logos. Dam it’s sweet. Anyhow I’m going to use this for my home system for now and when summer roles around I’ll buy myself a candy cab. Whoohooo I’m so proud of my baby.

Oh ya and dimensions wise we’re talking 78” x 33” x 39”, it’s a freaking monster! :D

Pretty cool. A couple suggestions:

Why only room for one joystick?

I would slap on a top piece to hold a large dedicated (or game) marquee.

Two side shelves to hold external shelf speakers would be pretty cool.

Is that stain, or paint?

If I did I would surly incorporate another. 2nd, the external speaker shelves would be great; in fact I have a spare stereo system. I would just have to see if I would have enough space to do that. 3rd, the idea for a marquee is great I was actually thinking that. I just have to design one. Thanks for the suggestions.

That was pretty quick work.

Instead of stencils, you might consider a set of these:

A pink cab, I would have it no other way...

Really though, I would have probably went with the traditional RED/BLACK color scheme and slapped on a couple of those conversion stickers. That would have looked pretty sweet, and if you're an artist you could make your own custom control panel and shit like that...


LMFAO @ Venturis. Man, I hate spammers but I really do wish he became one. I love reading his shit because I don't know if he's completely serious or if he's trying really hard and I could only imagine what he's like in real life... :D

Promise me, those of you that thought it looked PINK in that picture that you never, ever go into any job that requires a trained eye or the ability to take into account photo quality when assessing colors...

I like the stencils, from what the picture shows, you did a great job on them. I would dig a pink cab though....

Hey Playboy ,

Video Connection is a very good place to buy Neo and arcade stuff . I've bought tons of stuff through them . I would call them on the phone rather than going through their site ,
