Magician lord AES vs. MVS? questions

Hey all,

I had Magician lord years ago I bought it with the gold package when it first came out. I remember getting to the last boss (or maybe it wasn't) but I remember you had to fight all the mini-bosses again all in a row. It was really hard! and I never beat them all what was after that? Was there a really LAST boss! and is the game easier on the MVS version since you can continue all the time? And my last ? was there ever a planned sequel to the game?

Yes, there actually was a last boss. After all the mini-bosses, you fight Gal-Ageise. Then after that, you get to choose whatever form you want to fight the last battle. I recommend the Samurai.
