Alright this is one for the funnybooks. The music at the beginning intro of an MVS game, is it slower, faster or the same as the intro at the beginning of an AES game? Let me know what you guys think.

Are you talking about the Neo-Geo intro its self?
If that is what you are talking about then it should be the same. However, most people think that it is stored on the system (PCB) it self. It is really stored on the game cart. Try different games you will some times hear a whole different tone play the theme jingle. Also look at how some carts have a 330 meg shock and some say giga power pro..
The MVS and AES are idea for the most part.

I noticed thismorning that my MS3 cart does not have the intro, it goes from the green raster straight to the title screen on boot up, is this normal for MS3, maybe its a dip setting option, but I cant see it on the menu ???

there must be other MS#3 mvs owners out there, do you get the Neo Geo intro on boot up, if I leave the attract demo cycle it shows, but not on boot up, any ideas ???
Doesnt bother me, but would like to know if its normal. Have 30 carts and this is the only one that doesnt have the intro.

Ah you are seeing one of the more interesting Neo Geo glitches. I wrote up a bunch of these a long time ago, but they are now long burried on this board. It has been some time, but I do know:

Gigapower game on a multislot with mixed 330 mega games: The 330 Mega logo is shown at startup, 330 mega games load first, then Giga power games. After this point the Giga Power logo is shown.

Putting Garou or MOTW in a multislot board with other GIGA games will cause the no Neo Geo startup screen. These games will display the screen after all games have been cycled through.

There were other little problems too, Like RBFF2 always displays the Giga Power logo, wherever it is in the multislot setup.

I will try and find my old post, but what you are seeing is normal.

As for the startup sound... they are the same, it is in the cart not the system :) And yes, many carts have variants on the jingle... check out panic bomber, or my favorite Quest of Jong Master!!!
