Now that SVC tech pics have been shown, how do you feel its not on mvs?
I would be biased to discredit the game on that alone.
I also cant hide the fact its gonna be sad not to play the neo version of it.

Now Bobak mentioned the PCB to Neo idea.

It would make sense, but if this game never hits the neo.. I'm gonna be very sad.
Breaking away from mvs is gonna be very difficult.
Now me? I'm all JP hc's. The order of things should remains simple IMO. mvs to hc.

This IS neo geo.com. If a game we've been waiting for doesnt make a HC release, or MVS. Then its gonna be quite sad.
Keep your fingers crossed guys. frown

They told me the same thing they told Bobak, the home release should be coming out by Nov at the latest.

The motherfucker will be released on MVS when the game will be like "un-hot"...

Cool, yeah, we neo dudes are used to recycle the good past things forever...

Sad like shit indeed,

Kind of sick of Playmore's shit...

I think this is a common enough question that this thread ought to be kept "Live".

I wonder if these PCBs are going to be interesting collector's oddities.

I wonder if the SS3 one would qualify? I heard a rumor that there may be others.

What fucking pisses like hell is:

If you make a move, you make it...

You don't stay in the middle testing... what the fanboys could do, what the bootleggers could do, what the collectors could do, what Shawn's "honoris causa" could do, etc...

Fuck Playmore's game of shit...

<nerdiness> What I wanna know is whether this will be a pure JAMMA-style standard, or a MVS-style JAMMA (stereo and the other stuff) </nerdiness>

hmmm...good question. You would think in this day and age that they would want it to have stereo sound and would use the MVS style pinout on the harness.

But its probably mono. frown

A fighting game is cool without stereo dude...

The fact that you listen to the "uhh" "aaargg" "duu" on the left and right speakers don't provide an awesome experience IMO.

Why has there been so much confusion about this? It's on mvs hardware and will see a mvs and ngh release in time.

I don't know what the hell is wrong wit people. If it's coming out the MVS, then we will definitely see it on the home carts. MVS and home cart are mechanically the same.

I agree everyone should chill out a little. I'm glad the games on Jamma first, if it stops the bootleggers ripping it then good! I can wait for MVS, although a might pull my hair out in desperation first!

So why didn't SNK ever release Puzzle Bobble on homecart?? I really don't understand the marketing on that game. I mean, they ported the damn game to pretty much every system known to man besides their own, what's up with that? Was this Taito's decision?

Exactly, I really don't know why people are getting their panties in a bunch.

The MVS cart will be out soon enough and luckily it will probably be cheap as the game won't be new or "hot" in a month or so. Plus the MVS cart version will probably be the "budget" version of the game, meaning we can probably get kits for a lower starting price than normal.

The game is on the Neo Geo, just because it's on a single board doesn't mean it's not the Neo hardware. I mean for christs sakes guys, think about this.

If the game was going to be on a "new" board with new hardware then you'd think that it WOULDN'T look a bit like KOF and they'd have new "next-gen" graphics. The game is still on MVS hardware, so please relax.

The Neo hasn't gone away yet, although if the rumors are true it may be going away before the end of the year. Reguardless SVC is on the Neo and we'll all have our carts in due time.

screw jamma it sucks mvs it should be on first
MVS 1 Slots comply to Jamma standard (somewhat), so it's not too hard for people to convert.

I don't see what's up with all this "Oh the horror! It's a single JAMMA PCB! The Neo is dead! OMG!" and this obsession with MVS carts (I can understand obsession for home carts, but MVS...). I mean, even if there was no "true" MVS cart release, who cares? That PCB would be the equivalent of the cart, you would just plug it to your cab/supergun and that's all, only that it is a bit more "uncomfortable". Some will say: "Oh, it wouldn't look that nice with the rest of my MVS carts! The pain!". Again, who gives a fuck? MVS games are made for playing only, if you want the games to look pretty on a shelf go for AES.
OK, the PCB would be more expensive, but its price would rockfall as quick as a regular MVS cart. Producing a PCB or a cart is not that expensive in parts, you pay for having a new game that makes money in your arcade, when it loses this cattegory the price drops.

In my opinion this PCBs will be hell expensive now, but when the MVS carts are released its price will drop a lot, most people (arcades and private users) will prefer the cart version, I bet the PCB will go cheaper soon enough. If that's the case I would buy the PCB.

If all this PCB move prevents a bit bootlegging, then it's welcome.

Haha, you are right, I didn't think about that, but anyway whoever gets a consolized MVS already knows he will not be able to play anything else other than MVS carts. Thus will have to wait for the regular MVS, no big deal anyway.

Well I want a MVS cart because I play games mainly on my six slot cab and I dont think a jamma board will plug in to slot 1,2,3,4,5 or 6. I am sure there are lots of multi slot cabs around that dont want just one game plugged in...
