What do you guys think of these two slug boards.

Mine:
<a href="http://tiger.towson.edu/~mkochi1/images/slugmvs%20001.jpg" target="_blank">http://tiger.towson.edu/~mkochi1/images/slugmvs%20001.jpg</a>

Someone elses:
<a href="http://tiger.towson.edu/~mkochi1/images/slugmvs%20004.jpg" target="_blank">http://tiger.towson.edu/~mkochi1/images/slugmvs%20004.jpg</a>
<a href="http://tiger.towson.edu/~mkochi1/images/slugmvs%20005.jpg" target="_blank">http://tiger.towson.edu/~mkochi1/images/slugmvs%20005.jpg</a>

I know the pictures are bad but you can tell they are very different. We are guessing the second is a good bootleg. No Snk markings and we don't know what the small chips are.

Why are the pictures of both carts taken in your home? Is it your friends?

Also, how were the prices on these neo games you took a picture of? It looks like most of them are in good condition, is this store actually at the SNK/Playmore building? Was this the Tokyo or Osaka building? <img src="http://www.neo-geo.com/snk/images/building/Japan%20184.jpg" alt=" - " />

Yes this was at the Neo gathering I held today.

That last pic was just one I tacked on. It is actually in a Softmap in Osaka if I remember correctly. The prices ranged from 200 yen(Fatal Fury Special) to well over 60,000(Kizuna/Ninja masters which aren't in that particular photo) In that particular store. I visited several stores with stock of that level this was just the first one so I took pictures cause I was so amazed.

I want one of those sections of shelves to display my collection (when it gets bigger at least)!

To bad this store was in Den Den :p (Osaka) There were of course plenty of similiar ones in Akihabra.

I was really limited on space so the only cart I picked up there was a Last blade 2.

The systems were in the 17,000 yen range.

yours :
100% legit.

someone elses :
bootleg city.
Just out of curiousity, what specifically makes it a bootleg? I'm not disagreeing with you at all, just trying to learn, as the only other bootlegs I've even seen pics of all have EPROMs and this one doesn't.

- there are no 'SNK' letters. no year. no nothing ... printed on the pcbs.
- the chips look different, than <a href="http://www.jamma.nl/albums/album04/aca.sized.jpg" target="_blank">legit ones</a>.
- the pins are different.
- the whole layout is different.

it's not always that easy to identify a bootleg, but the more you see, the easier it gets.

good collection of pics for some practicing :

I just thought it *might* be new, since it looked to barely even have any shelf wear.

I stand corrected :)
