Thinking about buying one of these on ebay but remember people giving it negative reviews. Is it a decent joystick or does it not compare to the original AES controller?

I really like them. I have three, and none of them have had any problems.

However, apprently they are quite prone to dust, which can affect the d-pad (taking the pad apart and cleaning inside restores function).

I actually like these for performing moves in fighting games more than I like the joystick!

They're okay, but once you get used to playing with joysticks, reverting to a pad is somewhat difficult, to say the LEAST. I just can't get the same level of precision out of a pad that I can with a stick, regardless of the genre (fighting, shooting, etc) of game I'm playing. When it comes to the Neo, for me, the old-style joystick is the way to go.

Interesting. I was thinking about nabbing the one on ebay that's supposedly new. I've never used it before but figured it would be cool to have a pad. Eh, maybe if I could get it for 5 bucks; the one on ebay is already $30.
