Joysticks you use in your cabs?

I was going to replace the joysticks in my cab, and I am looking for opinions on what I should pick up.

Super?
Ultimate?
Competition?
Or others?

Thanks in advance.

Do a Search in Tech Support, this has already been debated many times.

Yes, the Search function still works in Tech Support.

I figured its been done a million times, but not by me :)

Didn't even think to check Tech Support, oh well.

Looks like just about everyone in that thread liked the "super" style joystick, which I personally detest.

I ordered a couple of the "competetion" style sticks, and I'm pretty confident those will work out for me.

Check this site out:

arcade infinity uses them to replace parts on their cabs. You may have to buy through arcade infinity though.

I love the colors on those.

Too bad I haven't really used japanese style buttons/joysticks that much, so I'm not quite ready to take the plung and buy a set yet...

Maybe I'll buy a set and make a pastel colored controller for the g/f. :)

Too bad this Italian-brand stick is not available in the US, I'm sure many people would love it.

- Very tight, at least as much as an old style AES one.
- Square guide for ultra-precise diagonals.
- Easily switchable to *real* 4-way, you just can't hit two microswitches at the same time (useful for old classic games, not Neo).
- Screw-mounting just like a button, so you don't have to uglify your control panel by drilling the usual 4 holes.

Personally I use "Perfect 360" controls that I ordered from HAPP controls. These are hands down the best stick I've ever used. Always tight and take years to wear down.
