Your Fav Character

I know that dispite it all the various fighting games everyone here has played we've either stuck with the first character we picked, fely like we could relate to said character, or we get mad to all hell when our fav character didn't make it to the next game.
I know I'm not the first one to rename my fav characters move names to fit my attitude and style(if that makes me look wierd to you so what, I feel SORRY for normal people) I love using Kyo cause all his moves have to be pulled off up close and personal to have any real effect and I hate rapid fire flame boys. I like using Geese also cause just looking at him you know he's someone who's not to be fucked with.

The characters I like are often the main character, if I am new to a game, I often just press A to choose the character there, without looking through!

I tend to pick the underdogs, low tier characters and characters I see potential in.

Duck King, Dan and Hon-Fu tend to make the fights more humorous and mock serious fighters so they are some of my favourites. People get the shits when they are defeated by these characters, so I get good with them and pick them regularly.

Besides that, I hate playing a game in which my opponent picks the same character as me. You'll rarely see me pick Kyo, Iori, Terry and so on...

May be a bit off topic but oh well. I have a tendency to go with either very technical characters or speed characters. Take for instance my undying need to perfect Ramon in 2K1. I normaly am a Terry freak and play with K9999, Ryo and Goro a bit more than other characters though. That is just in 2K1 though.

I like to play characters with the highest combo possibilities regardless of speed/size/appearance etc.

I agree, Vice led me too CvS...first time I learned about SNK...damn awesome. I go for women fighters first, they're more interesting more of the time.

I never saw it coming, you suprised the hell out of me.

Anyway contrary to popular belief Clark is not my favorite SNK character(Surprised you huh NickD?). Geese Howard is! Why? Cuz he is a pure skill character with style and Class. To me, Geese is what epitomizes SNK. He was like the first of his kind in a fighting game and SNK was what pioneered him. When I hear the name "Geese Howard" it just makes me feel all "SNKy"(my new word).

Well it depends, I thought it was what's your favorite character to use. I'm a big time Yamazaki fan also. But I agree with you about Geese. I haven't seen him too much though. I've only see him in FF movies and fought him in 96. But my only grip is his fighting costume. He should be more like Big and fight with a tuxedo or something similar like the big business man he is. I don't like traditional martial arts gear (like the AOF team, although I like Robert style). I like guys who look like street fighters (no pun intended or any references to this game either). You know, guys/gals who are there to fight in the street. Would you were a gi to a street fight?

Oh yes and NickD in Art of Fighting 2 Geese Wears a tuxedo . Most of the time I wouldn't care what anybody wears to a fight as long as i can grab somebody and slam them.

Spinmaster X: I know it's a bit off topic but in 96, Geese is less stronger than Krauser. Last night, I played 96 at level 1 just to kick some butt and relax, I went through Geese without problems but Krauser gave me a hard time, AT LEVEL 1! Although he's not a favorite of mine, he's more powerfull than Geese, unless they have upgraded Geese since 96.
