Who drew Fatal Fury 1 & 2 cover arts on Genesis?

I don't think Shinkiro drew those as I can find nothing from SNK illustration books.

Takara released so many SNK fighting games on both Genesis and SNES. Some of the cover arts were even better than US/JPN AES !!!

(Other than beautiful cover art, Gen Fatal Fury is missing one level and control is awkard. FF2 is slightly better but still not as good as MVS/AES)

Funny thing in Genesis FF2 is that you can pull of some diffrent combos. Its rather interesting.

Like going from Andy's rushing elbow to the rising spin. Nice little diddy it is that I cannot for the life of me pull off in the Original Neo version.

The artist that drew these covers is unknown to me. Sorry.

That would be Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, character designer for Evangelion, Nadia, both Lunar games, and .hack//sign (among other anime series/games). Both Fatal Fury covers appear in his artbook, Der Mond.

Genesis Fatal Fury is also missing Billy Kane and Hwa Jai.

If Takara spent more time in Gen Fatal Fury, I think it'll surpass the AES/MVS version.

Yoshiyuki Sadamoto did a great job for FF & FF2 cover arts. I'll look for his art book.

I don't like Shinkiro's early artworks. FF2 is when I start to like his art style.
