I'm going to throw my hat in the ring with Kof99 DC. Good loads, no music interrupt, bgs are interesting (with some new ones too), new special effects added to moves, and the game feels the same.

Add command lists and an easier way of selecting your character orders and you have a port that some might even say is...gasp..superior to the original.

Though, during the game, your bgs do not transition between rounds (well the plane one does, but not the court yard). Minor gripe.

Also, Kriz is selectable. All pretty cool in my book. This is the only SNK port I like.

Your thoughts,

King of Fighters Evolution for the DC is truly grand. I love it. The extra strikers are a nice touch and it leaves me something to do even now. But one thing made me mad was no art gallery.

Second would be Mark of the Wolves because I love the art gallery.

Hmm, is this worth getting another NGPC and a copy of turf master for? Big fan of it on the neo.

Is the game play the SAME, or is it DIFF'RENT?

Ladum dum,..another post says I.

Okay, RBDM has got my attention. I wonder If I can find a non Best collection version one day. One day.

And kof 95 for sat. Does it load between characters, or does the rom card fix that. Exactly what is stored in the cart? Bgs...samples. I must know. Time...so..precious.

Tell me.

Elabourate, mon ami.
It's the same game, with 1 less course.

Swing meters are different.

You can play for "trophy clubs" which enhance your game for one round.

Fewer voices.

Sega CD FFS. Best port of FFS at the time, and really, still. The soundtrack is 100% there, and the game itself is all there, if a little slow. Great use of CD technology, and it's redbook, so you get a soundtrack for free! buttrock

I'd also say KOF '99 Evo for the DC, and I agree about the background on the courtyard stage. I don't know why they didn't make it change between rounds instead of making the rainy version a different stage, although that is a very minor complaint. Other than that, I actually really like the 3D games on that game.

I also agree on the Neo Turf Masters thing - I kinda regret selling my copy of it for the NGPC. I think I traded it with RyoGeo a while back if I remember, and it is one game I wish I still had. This is why I don't usually trade stuff, as I know I'll regret it later on :)

Really? I've never played the Sega CD version, and always wondered how good of a conversion it was. I had the jpn version (won off of ebay for $1), and heard the audio which was 100%, but never got to see the game in action. I read some reviews that didn't take too kindly to it. Hopefully I can grab a US version sometime soon and see for myself.

My KOF99:Evo crashes fucking constantly. It drives me insane.
I have it for a few years now and it never gave me a problem. Might be a bad pressing of the disc, or your DC is about to die. I dont know whats worse.

Real Bout Fatal Fury Special for the Saturn. I've owned like 4 copies of this game because I love it so much. Plus with the Blue Mary music-vid at the end and Geese selectable right away just makes it even better. 2nd goes to KOF99:DM (KOF98). 3rd goes to FFWA for the PSX. Choppy ass graphics, but great gameplay, remixed music and 2 extra characters make up for it well enough. Those loadscreens and the art gallery are cool too.

I truely think RB2 and KOF98 could have been ported over to the Saturn. Oh well...It would have been great if Kizuna Encounter was ported over to the Saturn or PSX. They did it with KOF96 and MS1. Why not KE as well?

The only problem I have with RBS:DM is that theres no plane switch and White the boss is cheap as fuck. Other than that, a great game. I really want to own Real Bout Special DM LE with the fandisk included one day...

I think it's the disc. My US Alpha 3 does it too... But nothing else has any problems whatsoever and all discs are in good shape. Also I too am sad I sold my Neo Turf Masters on NGPC. Along with all other NGPC stuff(Dark Arms; wink . Only kept LB and MOTM.
