I just got my 1st AES a few weeks ago. I have Samurai Shodown II, Fatal Fury Special & KoF '98 <img src="graemlins/glee.gif" border="0" alt="[Glee]" /> <img src="graemlins/glee.gif" border="0" alt="[Glee]" /> <img src="graemlins/glee.gif" border="0" alt="[Glee]" /> . I can't afford ALL these great games this system has to offer. So, I play KoF '96 & '97 on my Saturn. ASwell as '99 Evolution & 2000 on my DC.

<img src="graemlins/help.gif" border="0" alt="[Help]" /> <img src="graemlins/help.gif" border="0" alt="[Help]" /> So, I'm hoping to hook-up with some local fans!?!? No fun playin'' KoF '98 by myself <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[Crying]" /> .....

I'm not in Maryland, but I live in Northern Virginia in Alexandria. I'm always looking for matches myself...

I'm in Silver Spring, roughly half an hour from either of you. I'm game for some competition. The question is who's going to be the host? My apartment is pretty small so I think I'm out. BTW, how old are we, I'm 25 myself.

I'm 25 aswell, 5/31/77. Well, there's gonna be a tournament at my place on 9/21, next Sat. One of the games will be Samurai Shodown II.

If you go to shoryuken.com & check the tournament forum, you'll find out all of the details. My name is also Saturn Gamer there.

I would've had KoF '98, but I didn't get it in time when I announced the games being played.

Anyway, hopefully we can get MORE local people to post here. I would really like to hook-up with you guys sooner or later. Its sooooo hard to find KoF fans around Baltimore City. I'm just starting to learn KoF & can't stop!!

Did either of you guys' make it to Otakon this past year?? That's what convinced me to get my Neo-Geo, after getting my ass KICKED in KoF 2001. But, after playing that game, it was ON.

I'm up for a change of location, although Baltimore is a little far from Bethesda.

Damn this is scary, like six degrees of Kevin Bacon. ;) I'm 25 as well, 5/26/77. I'm always looking for people to play, and I go up to Baltimore fairly often as well.

I was at Otakon this year. Actually one of the Neo-Geo AES systems running KOF2001 there was mine, as was KOF '96. I'm not a great player but I love to play.

I'd definitely be interested in a tournament this weekend. I suck at Sam Sho but I love playing it anyway. Let me know when and it's on. :)

Well, the tournament is on Sat., the 21st. These are the games being played:

CVS2
MVC2
Super Street Fighter Turbo
Guilty Gear X
Soul Calibur
& on my newly acquired Neo Geo AES: Samurai Shodown II

I would've liked to have had more SNK games, but I jut got my AES. Anyway, the turn out is usually between 20-25 people. I have 5 flat screen tvs going, using 2 for actual tourny play.

I have some friends from NJ that came to the last one, so I'm hoping they can make it to this one. They are into KoF '98 big time.

It would be nice if all you guys could make it. (even though SSII is the only actual Neo tourny game) But, I'm sure we can make time for some KoF '98 action if I can get the actual people who play here, lol.

Anyone who wants my phone #/address just PM me.

Why do so many people live in Baltimore and not Bethesda?

We have better restaurants!

No argument there. I went to college in Baltimore and it's not exactly the culinary capital of the world if you know what I mean.

Wow, this is interesting. I have been the head of the Otakon game room for the past 4 years. The only reason I did not take charge this year( I was 2nd in command) is because I was the comptroller of the entire thing! :)

What time are the tourneys Saturn? I would love to make it but I think I have to work till 7.

Evil, you are in Bethesda! This rocks we have a whole load of people around here to draw from!

We definitely need to have an awesome get-together.

Everything starts at 11am on the 21st. Between 11am-about 1pm we have the sign-ups for the tournys. Around 1pm we start the tournys.

If you can't make it on Sat., on Fri. I have a kinda pre-tourny get together. Since I have everything already set-up, people like to come on over & just have some good fun. I am home all day, so you can show-up any time!! People usually just come & go throughout the day.

ANYONE WHO WNATS DIRECTIONS & MORE INFO CAN JUST PM ME. I'LL BE GLAD TO SEND MY # OR TAKE YOURS. ITS EASIER TO GIVE DIRECTIONS OVER THE PHONE. MY PLACE IS VERY, VERY EASY TO GET TO. LITERALLY, YOU JUST YAK 2 TURNS OFF OF 83 AND YOU ARE AT MY PLACE. I LIVE IN THE BOLTON HILL PART OF THE CITY. THEY EVEN HAVE THEIR OWN WEBSITE BOLTON HILL.ORG.

I actually like the bar scene in Baltimore. If you're over 21, Baltimore can be a fabulous place to hang out at night.

So Mike, you offering your place for a get together? I love Laurel, it has a nice row of restarunts, a pretty decent Best Buy, and is close to everything else.

I was host of the get togethers with Wasabi Yak Sublime and "Eddie".

I have no problem hosting a bigger one. I have a cab with a 2 slot board and other PCBs. My apartment is moderate size though not huge. I could move the big couch out of the main room and we could easily set up a second TV in there perhaps even a third. With the big couch out of the room 10 or so people wouldn't be overly uncomforable. It would only be for people from the boards though as space is fairly limited.

So does that mean Eddie can't come? Hahaha, he wouldn't like that none too much. Umm.. Yeah. Other people should come to these. That would be awesome. And as for relocating, yeah right. I know where Mike's place is and the beer is free, so Wasabi, you can go kiss Eddie's ass.

Man, if we got 10 people we could do a 10 player Baseball Stars 2 tournament... Oh man... :D

Err.... I bought the beer last time.

And Eddie is a member of the boards. Go check out the Hyper forum.

How does Saturday the 28th sound to everyone? I sell whole house entertainment systems to people and Saturdays are usually big lead days for me, but I could take that day off.

I could bring some of my MVS carts, the only ones of interest would be MOTW and KOF 2000 most likely. I also have MS3, SS2, SS4, and LB2. I do have an AES system but I don't have any controllers for it. I'll probably be selling it soon anyway. ;) I want to get ROTD soon, maybe I'll have it in time.

28th is a bit early for me to get off work plus if we wait a week or two longer someone will definetly have ROTD on home cart. Mike is thinking October 5th or 12th we can make it an all day thing.

That will probably work out if we can fix a date a couple weeks out. Most of us should be able to get out of work by then. Anyone else have some input?
