SvC production run

It seems as though the more recent games have had little production runs, RotD and Matrimelee. So, I am worried that SvC is going to sell out during the pre-orders. I don't know if I will have the money to get it by the time pre-orders are available. I do know that SvC will have a much higher run than either RotD or Matrimelee, but it is also more popular and may still sell out. I remember reading on here somewhere that MOTW sold out during the pre-order phase. What was the production run of that title? I wasn't around when KOF 2002 and 2001, Metal Slug 3 and 4, or Sengoku 3 came out, but they are all still available for sale. What were the production runs of those titles respectivly? I think they were higher correct? Do you think SvC will have the highest production run ever? If not, what do you think it will be? What are your thoughts guys?

I hope that Playmore produces 1000 copies of SvC:Chaos the game will sell out regardless of how many copies Playmore makes.

I don't know how many active members there are on here, but I don't know if 1000 copies would sell. I would most certainly hope so becuase that means more money for SNK/Playmore. :D

On another subject, how many people do you think will go out and buy a Neo just for this game?

Playmore takes preorders then produce the exact number of carts that where preordered.

More the preorders, more the cart will be produced.

You could always preorer from NCS, or any other store that doesn't hit you up for the money until they actually ship the game.

I'd say 200~250 US carts, plus JPN run which is unknown.

I thought that was the new policy up until the game was actually released. Why would they not disclose the production run after release?

Blah, 32 packages, 12 carts per package, so that's 384 that did ship to the neostore. Remove JPN carts left over in stock, and you get an estimation.

Oh, plus one US cart in Europe :D

I don't see reasons why not disclose production run while we got the info available. That's stupid.
Ok, I know the exact run of Ultimate Eleven, but I won't tell you angry ... Childish...

There'll be more than 1000 copies of the Japanese home cart in existence I'm sure. This will probably sell incredibly well in Japan. I estimate there'll be about 300 Japanese copies in the Neo Store, US production run, I don't know, nor do I care.

I do think there will be a decent amount of folks who go out and try to get ahold of a Neo just for this game. This is probably going to be the most hyped up Neo release ever. Good or bad, that remains to be seen. Unfortunately, Playmore/SNK better not fuck up this game because this is their most anticipated title to come out in quite sometime.

Shining-

MOTW numbers are not known, keep in mind it came out while SNK USA was still around. Shawn didn't deal new release US carts till I believe Metal Slug 3, then Sengoku 3, and so forth.

Thanks DangerousK. Who use to handle the US releases? SNK themselves? Did they sell them on there website?

...I think it would be neat to know the production runs of each cart and what percentage of those remain here in the community. I guess it would be interesting to know this just because alot of people complain about cost, but I am sure that we are the ones resposible for driving the prices so high. To think that one cart might see only a couple owners but double, triple, or so on in value along the way is intersting. Especially when you think how aquanted people are with each other on here yet, the prices rise.

I can tell you that the Japanese production run for KOF2001 was pretty high, because I've seen multiple copies in various shops.

Granted, it wasn't a very popular game, but still, the city I used to live in had a population of only 330,000, but the local electronics store had three copies.
