I noticed how the snaplock cases tend to break if used a lot.
if i keep the carts I play the most in baggies in order to protect them and I put them in a box, would my beloved babes be safe? In this way I could save the snaplocks and play the games anytime I want.

I've seen a guy shelf them with the cases in baggies, and then the games in other baggies separate. I guess it works good for him. The only way I'd do the same is if I owned Kizuna JP, Ninja Master's JP, or Metal Slug JP/US.

I'm a game player, I don't want a conversation piece. I probably wouldn't but those games either.

Thank you friend, I perfectly understand your point of view as gamer. :)
The reason why I buy Neo games is to play them, but I want them to last forever, and I treat with velvet gloves both cheap and expensive carts.

The snaplock will not break unless you bend it back to far. Just make sure that when you open the snaplock you only open it enough needed to open the case. Always lay your thumb on the outside side of the hinge when opening the case for extra support to ensure you are not putting stress on the snap. If you put your carts in plastic baggies I think that your games are at even more of a risk since things can drop on them and damage the cart.

I always keep my snap lock cases 'unsnapped' when storing them back after playing
