I`m about to hit the capital of the land of the rising sun again soon. Now that I have seen Akihabara already could someone point me in the direction of other areas in Tokyo that feature used game shops with SAT, Neo, DC etc. stuff? Also greatly appreciated would be tips towards game related merchandise shops (like zippos, resin figures, air soft guns - yes I`m probably the biggest Biohazard fan on earth :D )

To sum up: All game & merchandise shop info besides Akihabara is desperately needed. help

You mean for party? Yeah, been to Shibuya and Kabukicho (seen that?) and Roppongi. Ginza as well. But what`s the deal with Shinjuku?

In Akihabara there's 2 stores for AES stuff, Trader and Medialand. There's actually 2 Traders in Akihabara, one is on the main street and then one is on a small side street. Medialand is a small shop on the main street with 5 or 6 levels. Medialand is pretty hard to find, because it's call something else in Japanese and it's a small tall store.

For MVS stuff there's G-front, Try, and Mak. You can search the internet for maps to these places.

In Shinjuku, there's a huge store called Yodobashi (sp?) that covers a few blocks. Yodobashi sells everything, including some of the new AES titles.

Have fun, and bring lots and lots of cash, because most places only accept yen. Don't worry about the safety of your cash, because you'll be fine. I was walking around with a couple of thousand dollars and had no problems.

Please post any question you may have, I can probably answer them. :)

Look me up. I'll show you around. :)
He gives a very thorough tour of the Akihabara area. I'd take him up on his offer.

As for other gaming stores outside of Akihabara, I don't think there's any real point in looking. Akihabara is the place in Tokyo to get that kind of stuff.

You might be able to find a game/anime/figure shop here or there, but anything you can buy at one of those places you can get at Akihabara.

I`ll take the opportunity :)

Did you encounter any guns store that sells all these crazy biohazard airsoft weaponry which I really dig?

Any special store for merchandise (and with merchandise I mean not the games themselves but stuff related to them) besides Gamers?

If you got some spare time (say 1-2 days) and seen Nikko, Kamakura, Mt. Fuji and Tokyo Disneyland already where would you go outside of Tokyo?

Thanx for your help.

I see - for Aki I think I know my way around there already :) But I thought there must be some other areas of interest as well - you know I`ve heard several times of a store in Shinjuku (not sure about location though) that specializes in 16-Bit and the pre-16-Bit-era with all kinds of cool old hardware like the Sega mark console.
Anyone know anything about this?
