Shawn how about limiting orders to a max of one Japanese and one English cart per customer so this game doesn't get "Japhei'd".
There will not be any limits enforced on preorders. Instead, a discounting system will be implemented when preorders officially open. A customer could preorder two pieces of SVC Chaos and would automatically receive a lower price. Or, a group of friends could pool together to get a case of 12 and receive a more significant discount, which would bring the price down to the 200’s.

This is greatly preferred from a distributor’s standpoint, as it is much easier to ship one case of 12, then to process 12 transactions for 12 packages to 12 separate locations. So it’s only fair that the customer who orders multiple pieces is rewarded with a lower price.
Time to start a MN buying thread so we can save some $$$. As of right now Criterionradiohead and Verbatum are in. We should keep track of who all want to join in someone's sig.

We will need to appoint someone to receive the shipment, does anyone have a suggestion? I would personally like to do this but I understand that I am a noob and not every would feel safe so, any suggestions?

Shawn,
If twelve people pool together would you want 1 combined payment or everyone to pay separately but, ship to the same place?

Thanks,

djdelly

Since most customers pay by credit card or paypal, and the fact that SVC Chaos home cartridges are high $ items, these orders will only be shipped to the PayPal address on file or the billing address of the credit card used.

Otherwise the NeoStore would be at risk to credit card chargebacks on a massive scale. However, if a group of people pool together and purchase by bank wire transfer, Western Union, or cashiers check, then the order can be shipped wherever you like.

One transaction and one shipment = volume order discount + you save on shipping.

As long as Shawn is cool with this...

Myself and another guy I know would most likely be willing to get in on this. I'll talk to him when he gets back in a couple days to confirm/deny.

Just confirming that I would be in for something like this. I would really like to be able to purchase a dozen and go for the big discount. I know there is at least 12 people in this state who are willing to buy this game.

Hope we can all work something out and end up geting a big discount :D

No home system as of yet, but with all the uncertainty of an mvs cart release I will be buy a NGH before the home cart release.

What about you are you going to buy the game? Want to join the buying pool?

No! I'm not interested. Don't own a home system. And what do you mean uncertainty of an MVS release, it's already out on MVS and the price is still dropping? Just wanted to know what you meant by that.

The game is not out in MVS yet, it is out on a jamma board. There is no "Multi" when it comes to the jamma release.
Easy example: If I put a sticker on my cat stating that it is a dog, does it now mean that it is a dog, or is it still a cat?....

Of course, it is a still a cat, and the jamma SVC Chaos is still a jamma board and not MVS.

Look this is all pointless and beside the point and is getting WAY OF TRACK. The point being is he can still buy the thing and take out the MVS and connect the SVC board. That's why I want to know why he needs to still buy a home system.

I personally do not want to take my 4-slot out of my cab so I can play one game. I bought my Neo for the versatility. It would be more convenient for me to buy a NGH system and the home version so I can always play SvC Chaos. If there is going to be a MVS CART release then I will buy that first then contemplate if the home version is still warranted. If the game lives up to the hype, I would like to have it on multiple systems.

What about a MN Get together on that following weekend? (Saturday December 13 or Sunday the 14) That way everyone who orders it can get it ASAP and we don't have to worry about shipping it or sitting on the cart.

If Paul, Mike, or Nick are not able to receive the shipment, then I certainly could. My father is home all morning and could easily accept it or I could take half a day and accept it myself, either way.

The offer is there if needed.

Good idea - I just didn't want to suggest it because I have no way of hosting it in a 2 bedroom apartment with a rec room just big enough for a pool table. wink

Anyways, I'm in. So is my buddy. Who else might be interested, though? I know Vince will be buying it, but maybe not from this site...

Nick:

I'm in, there's no way I would want to miss the huge discount.

For everyone in the poll, there's one thing that I hope we can all agree, when preorder opens, have the $$ ready (this should be around October) so whoever takes charge doesn't get burned, even one game is a lot of $$.

I could certainly host the party since there's plenty of room in my house. A whole lot of liquid sugar, plenty of Little Whores (aka Little Debbies), and pizzas' (from where ever)...it'll be a blast.

Again, the offer is there if everyone wants to do it.

Or, a group of friends could pool together to get a case of 12 and receive a more significant discount, which would bring the price down to the 200’s.
So the group price will be around 200 $ for one AES cart if you buy 12 pieces ?

"down to the 200's" means 200 $ or 299 $ ?

I would like to know this as well.

To everyone else interested in this... I will try to set some official timeline on when we have to have the cash so we can make the pre-order for this game. I will also try and get a hold of Shawn over the weekend to determine what the exact price will be for this "bundle". Tell your friends and family, the more people we have sign up for this, hopefully the better deal we will be able to get.

I'll post exact details when I have all the information straight.

If you're up to the task, I suggest you try contacting Paul from High Score Video (651)-430-2411 and he should know people who own neo geo systems that don't know about this site in order to get the message out even to non-forum members and therefore a larger pool of people. From what I hear there are suppose to be a ton of people in the MN/Twin Cities area that own neo's and who obviously don't post here. Try to get a hold of these people if you can or maybe somebody is willing to. Again call up that number. They have AES carts in that store so the owner Paul should know of some neo geo owners out there.

Also whoever is trying to get this bundle thing organized contact Al (952)-210-3310/alrocksu@mn.rr.com. He's the former co-owner of Raven's and he should know people who own AES systems. It is important that you reach out to the neo geo owners who do not go here as that is the key to the success of this. The people here are only a small percentage of neo geo owners out there, I'm sure.

P.S. Al has back to back versus candy cab machines that he's trying to sell together with a 1 slot and a bunch of games. Last time I checked it was still on sale. That was like 2 weeks ago. You might want to ask him about it if you are interested as he most likely still has it. He lives in Hopkins and is willing to have interested people come over to his place to look at the machines.

Looks like Shawn has the "bulk" prices listed on the new preorder page. Any idea how many people we've got at the moment (roughly)?
