It just proves that the guy didn't like the game. Although i must say i thought that review was not well written at all (quite poorly written actually). He just completely slammed the game without going into any real detail as to why he thought the game was bad.

Damn, that was one of the most ignorant and biased reviews I have ever read.That guy clearly has NO IDEA about what he is talking about.He deserves to be beaten.Beating him isn't enough.He should be killed.

Oh i agree with what you are saying. The man truly didnt have a damn clue about what he was talking about. Its quite clear when he says gamers can look forward to MORTAL KOMBAT 5 (i got a good laugh out of that).

While a large majority of them are in fact burger-swilling, grease-sucking, sweaty balls of pent up parental anger and cynicism, such as our dear pal Louis here, there's definitely more than a 1% section of the American gamer market that knows what it's doing/talking about.

A lot of people review ports as if they were next gen console original games. If you don't even know that the game was created for different hardware and then ported, you have no business writing a review of the game.

If you're sitting there playing LB2 and wondering why it doesn't look like Shen Mue, at what point does a light bulb go off and you realize it's a freakin' port? oh_no

My favorite quote, not only did Onimusha come out wayyy after The Last Blade Series was conceived, but the game is based on an actual History era, not some artist's vision.

Maybe the 99% bit was a bit overstated, but I can certainly understand the emotion that can drive one to make this sort of judgement. This guy is truly the type of ignorant, shallow moron that just begs to be hated. I’m seriously pissed off with the things he's noted in his review and it comes across as just one bit opinionated ass f#@k!

Some of us here may be considered to be part of the old school, but that doesn't mean to say we're stuck back in the early nineties gaming climate and can't move on, and as far as I'm concerned we've been blessed to have been able to enjoy the evolution of gaming and in most cases truly be able to appreciate good from bad! Hell most of us have next-gen consoles as well as our Neo stuff but come back to the Neo not coz its somehow novel or niche, but because of the amazing gaming experience to be had. I mean far too many 'kids' these days are sold on high-end 3D and if you ask any of them, games are just getting better and better! The fact is games are no better now they ever have been in the past, they're simply different. Good 3D can create an amazing, enveloping environment and be absorbing in its own way but this not to say that quality 2D games are not also a thing of beauty. The artistic quality to titles like Metal Slug and indeed Last Blade 2 is highly impressive if you're open to it. And the responsiveness, attention to detail and depth is just high as any 'next-gen' title. What’s sad is a lot of newbie gamer’s taste has become so shallow and superficial that they're sold on the gloss and 'wow factor' and apparently this is what makes the game. Very sad, where is it all gonna end up folks???

In closing, when I can stroll into one of the biggest arcades in Australia (in the Crown Casino Melbourne for anyone who’s interested) and wander in one end and out the other and think to myself, there is not one game in there I ‘really’ wanna play, that’s getting scary. Where’s the love gone, so many developers seem to have forgotten what made games great once. And good ol Louis is just foamin at the mouth waiting for the next bit of eye candy, poor bastard, he just doesn’t get it!

For someone who "loves fighting games" he doesn't know jack SHIT about how they're supposed to be played.

Honestly how much fun do you have playing a fighter by yourself? Singleplayers mostly suck (w/ the exception of SC and VF4 since they add so much to DO in their single player). Thing is for him to say that about a fighter just proves how little he knows about the genre. Or the fact that he just doesn't know how to play one properly.

Oh yeah, thing is I thought this was a review of KOF, which I can understand bitching about graphics it never was the Neo's benchmark of a graphical powerhouse. LB2 and MOTW will be the kind of fighters that do that. Which is why I find it hard to see someone complaining about LB2's graphics, I mean it's like saying something like SF3 or GGX2 look like crap. I mean LB2 is one of those games that just looks good no matter what way you look at it.

I would swear that that review was posted as flamebait if the kid hadn't written other reviews as well. I agree with Buro, I used to see cunts like this all the time while working at various game stores, arguing with them at all was pointless as they were opinionated and ignorant, nothing else could possibly be correct. The only way to trump them is to ask about a girlfriend or why their mom drove their 20 year old ass to the mall. I'm not really upset by the review at all, you want to get pissed off at reviews? Go read the user reviews at gamespot or ebword. Everything is either 1 star or 5 stars as people try to sway the overall rating with their single comment not to mention the tripe that passes for commentary along with the rating quite often it's on unreleased games too.
