Did any members here win the auction ? was it a scam ? does it exist ? I had almost forgot about this topic and I had hoped to get a conclusion to the story .

Damm,i had this auction on my watchlist to ask the buyer the same question...
...but waited too long and now it's gone. :(

Smart me...

I'd really like to get an answer to this, too.
But i guess IF the winner was an member of this board,he would have told us about it-either for being the greatest find ever or for being the greatest scam ever. smirk

I know what happened to the auction, but unfortunately it doesn't prove anything either way. The actual existance of this cart is still in question.

Please suffice it to say that I believe the end of the auction may have been against one or more of ebay's rules. I've no proof, so I won't make allegations, but in my ever-so-humble opinion...

Not necessarily. Many people possess the intelligence not to gossip about their rare finds as doing so saves from them getting inundated with e-mails asking for pictures/proof/how it plays/what they want to sell it for/will they dump it/etc. etc.

Selfish or not sometimes it's best for one's own good to shut up and keep things to oneself.

And then some people are greedy quite simply.

Yeah, what he said. Also, prototypes are still property of the company that made them, which means that they can be confiscated and destroyed if that company felt like doing it, which could be a reason for not talking about it.

Just think of it-
paying such a lot of money for a game, and then you can't tease someone with it! :(

Your PS2-playing neighbours/friends won't give a damm,and the NEO-community is too greedy... smirk

Collectors hell! :D

The seller is the same guy who tried to sell ALL BRAND new collections on ebay, without providing ANY picture.

Needless to say, even that auction was with NO pic at all.
He even refused to send pics of the cart to supergoose, avery trusted member of this board.

Topping the cake, the seller was NOT even sure the roms on the boards were ORIGINAL.

That auctions was just a joke.
A bad joke.

For the Complete Neo Geo Cd collection, he didn't want to provide any pics, because it was personal..

But for 99% of his other auctiones, there were pictures..

You would remember on Billy Pitt's Proto page there was a pic of a converted JPN-style Chousetsu Brikinger AES. With no comments at all.

Always wondered about the meaning of that pic...
