Hi, Just got of question for those of you with a Metal Slug MVS cart....What serial number you got on that baby? Anybody with an extremely high/low number?

Mine is 009891, but at the end where the number "1" is you can see a "2" behind it, crazy :)

One of mine is 028901 (English cart obviously). I also have a full kit, but it isn't nearby so I'll have to check that later. I'm sure that a ton of MS1 arcade carts were made, unlike the home cart . . . which is why so many people have this game converted from MVS to home. :)

Well I should have made that clearer. My cart has the s/n on the cart label, as do most other U.S. MVS carts. JPN carts have the s/n as a separate sticker placed elsewhere on the cart . . .

Which brings up another question: I wonder if the JPN carts are numbered separately from the U.S. ones, or if they just get a repeated set of numbers? <img src="graemlins/spock.gif" border="0" alt="[Spock]" />

When I read the thread title and text I assumed that the person asking this question was referring to the U.S. MVS carts only, but of course the JPN carts have s/n's too!

Ok, cool.
I thought I was missing something there. Actually, I allways wondered if serial numbers were repated for other countries. If so, then there are a ton of KOF carts. Funny thing is that Ms. Pac Man gets the credit for largest run of games with 110,000 units made, but I think a few MVS games have production runs in excess of that.

I just got my Metal Slug yesterday.

The Serial # is 000376.

I used to have a Street Slam MVS cart that was #27 very low... sold it to Nathan.
