international money orders

i live in the uk so if someone sends me a money order from the usa would i have any fees to pay when i went to cash it at my bank anyone tell me ?

It depends on what sort of money order they send.

I usually use Western Union and you get the total amount which they sent you (the sender pays all the fee's).

As far as cashing one in your bank as long as the order is in GBP you wont get charged. If you get one in USD the bank will charge exchange fee's.

Money orders are the biggest pain, I hate them. They are treated the same as foreign cheque (check) so a £7-8 fee is charged just to process them. Just ask them to send you a cheque and add the fee on top of the total amount.
