Now I wonder: is this a convert made for a proto AES? From a limited run AES, maybe? [Some sources reports both Brikin'ger and Zintrick to have been released in the MVS JPN market, but retired shortly after).

Or maybe an AES proto complete with insert (I seriously dubt anyway).

In case of a covert, it's Billy Pitt's, right?

Better ask billy pitt himself but it sure doesn't look like an official insert.

I think it's a home made insert. It does not follow the conventions of the standard Japanese insert of the time.

As far as Billy having a cart version, I do not believe he does. If I recall correctly, it is one that he would very, very much like to find but as of yet has been undable to track down.

I seem to remember him either seeing it running from an MVS cart at a show back when it was new, or he knew of a number of folks that saw it. Can't remember which. In any case, at one point it sounds as if there was at least one cart out there for show purposes.

Game could have been seen on a show but proto carts are made of EPROMs or flash memories, meaning it could have been erased right after the show.

Yeah, HP, I have considered that as well. :(

I keep thinking of those funky flash cards that some protos have been known to have and wonder if that was what was inside the thing. Even easier to wipe than EPROM's.

Maybe someday the code will pop up. spock
