kof 98 or kof 99?

KOF 98 has more than 99. 99=33 characters and 34 if you count both forms of Krizalid, 98=37 characters and if you add all of the different ver. of characters you get 51 characters.

99 have the best graphics, period.
Also the sound is superb.

I'm going with '99, it just looks so damn tight. SNK took their time and did a damn good job on it. Only downside to '99 is Krizalid and Bao, did we really need those two

eek! This is hard to answer. I'd say 98, it just "feels" like SNK. 99 does too but the feeling is stronger in me in 98 (just barely).

98 all the way! You get nearly every character up til that point plus alternate forms. Plenty of costume colors and options too. The boss is wicked hard and even though it is Rugal it's a very fresh Rugal and it seems like you never fought him.
Sure you son't get characters like K',Whip,and MAxima, but you don't (thankfully) get 2 Kyo clones and Bao. Also you get character like Chris,Shermie,Yashiro,Vice,and Mature, and theres nothing like beating the crap out of characters like Lucky,Brian Battler, and Heavy D!

hmmm, really depends on your style of play. 98 has a gigantic roster and the classic KOF gameplay, very balanced game. 99 introduced strikers which is an awesome addition, but not used very well in 00 and 01. I guess I'm more of a 99 guy.
I know people hated 99 when it came out. But I think it's pretty fun. But to me they are really similar, and I happen to like the difference in roster quite a bit. The main problem with 99 would be that the Strikers aren't very versatile so they don't effect gameplay much like in 2000/2001 and the two power up modes are also somewhat unuseful considering if you activate either mode your opponent is just gonna run/turtle like hell. 99 also has some of the best backgrounds in the series, where I think 98 has some of the worst, so I would say 98 = 99. Just depends on preference.

I know I should say 98 (theoretically), but there's just something about 99 that keeps me playing it more often then 98.

99 has a ugly gameplay...but great graphics and music
98 is GREAT GREAT GREAT for gameplay,plus it has some nice graphics and songs from the other kofs..

99 is good but 98 is better. 99 has too many useless things in it while 98 has the perfect gameplay. and the graphics dont differ that much. 98 is almost as good graphicly but even better gameplay wise. its an easy choice for me, how about you?
