Why do you think that is crap?
It has good graphics, smooth gameplay, wonderful character design, good sound; the only complain could be about difficulty. Where is the crap idiot?

Blazing Star is my fav Neo•Geo Shooter.
But anyway, Ghost Pilots is a cool old school
shooter. Kinda like the 1945 series. The only
thing is that this game is hard as hell, the
plane is too slow, making too hard to dodge all
the bullets. We had a discussion sometime ago
about this game on the gameplay forum.

Hmm...
I just got Ghost Pilots a little while ago, and here's my take on it:
Gfx is nothing great. Expect 1991 graphics.
Music is boring but there are a couple good tracks. The game and controls are very simple. A= shoot, B= bomb. If the game were updated today, it would at least use 4 buttons and have charge shot.
But the action onscreen can be furious at times, and as a shooter fanatic, it does give me a run for my money. And many of the bosses are good to. Good practical scaling effects of bosses moving in and out of the clouds, stuff like that.

The thing with neo games is not to judge them by other machines standards, but on neo game standards.
based on other neo-geo games, I would give Ghost Pilots 7/10. The graphics and sounds are pretty much standard fare for the neo, but the beauty lies in the gameplay. loco

I fucking love ghost pilots!
Some people love it, some people hate it.
Its so simple, but later in the game it gets soooo hard.
With 2 players its a blast, i say its worth the money.

Ghost Pilots is a pretty good game, but it gets a bit boring after a while imo.
I'd really go with 1942 or Flying Shark over Ghost Pilots any day of the week to be honest.
BTW Blazing Star is waaaay superior to Ghost Pilots.

Well, each to his own I guess.
A lot of people like Pulstar... personally I can't stand it, think it's bloody awful.
Are you going for AES or CD? Telegames have been selling some cheap sealed copies on eBay UK recently
The less you pay for it the more you'll appreciate the game, because it definitly ain't worth big bucks or going out on a limb for.
