On a whim I stopped in my local EB today before going to see Freddy Vs. Jason and as soon as I walked in I saw a NGPC bundle sitting on the counter. I asked the guy behind the counter if they had any more and he told me that that was the only one they got in so I bought it on the spot (unfortunatly I had to pass on the 4 game pack, I've gone through a bit of cash this month). I have to say that it was $84 well spent. All the items seem to be brand new (sans packaging) and in great shape. Pacman, FF First Contact, SamSho2, KOF R2, Metal Slug 1st Mission and the Mighty Neo Truf Masters together with a brand new NGPC = good times. If your just in it for the games, or looking to start up an NGPC collection I highly recommend picking up this pack. Its well worth the green.

The NGPC that I ended up with is a blue/silver color. I was hoping for the blue camo one though.

Whats in the 4-game pack?

Cool beans, BTW.
The 4 games pack is supposedly the only way to get a US release of Last Blade 2 on the Neo Pocket. I THINK it comes with Puzzle Bobble, SNK VS Capcom, Last Blade 2, and some other game I forgot. And supposedly, it costs only about 40 bucks.

Actually the 4 game pack consists of Last Blade, Puzzle Bobble, SNK V Capcom and Sonic.

I thought last blade was a Euro/japan release only.
Supposedly they were readying a LB US cart when SNK folded. The carts were finished, packaging was not. Packaging not being finished is only a guess.

If you look at the LB cart with the bundle, it's a typical US cart. It doesn't have the rainbow stripe at the top like the Euro version.

Weren't the carts that were included with the NGPC supposed to be at random? I already own one with a few titles, but I can definitely buy a second one just for the extra games. Never got a chance to play the SNK vs Capcom card game for it (or KOF R-2), and would love to get it.

I was quite suprised when I heard that EB was going to be selling Neo-Geo pockets and games again for a limited time. It's pretty cool that you can get the unreleased US Last Blade in one of the game packs as well. My only gripe is that the NGPC's and games lack the original packaging, it's a shame.

Yeah, that would be the only down side to the pack. I'm not a huge fan of the lack of original packaging, but for the price and the games you get I can look past that.

I'll be picking up my NGPC and extra game bundle tomorrow. I really don't know how I missed out on the system the first time around. (I think I was too into PC stuff at the time or something.)

Here's a question... Since the system and games don't come with the original packaging, does anyone know of any good NGPC carrying cases, or protective cases for the games? It'd be nice to have something to safely store it all in.

When I had my B&W NGP, I bought a small camera bag at K-Mart that fit it very well, and could hold an extra game or two in a front pouch. I don't know how much bigger the color unit is, but I'm sure there's a bag out there that'll fit it just fine.

Now that EB's doing this thing again, I think I may finally need a color unit... I've had Metal Slug 2nd Mission for something like a year now and nothing to play it on.

Funny, I thought you guys would have been on top of this news already, seeing as how this is neo-geo.com. It was on gaming news sites for about 2 weeks before the NGPC's hit EB stores on the 12th.

Nobody posted about this? odd
