Gamestop.com Offer: Neo Geo Pocket + 6 games for $69.99

Just stumbled across this. NGPC + 6 games for $69.99. No cases, no manuals though. You get Pac Man, Neo Turf Masters, KOF R2, Sam Sho 2, Metal Slug 1st Mission and Fatal Fury. Not that bad of a deal to start out a NGPC collection (if you really don't care about complete games that is). Then again I wouldn't trust gamestop as far as I could throw them. I bought 2 6 button Genny controllers and an N64 gameshark there this week, no of which worked.

I did a search of availability within 200 miles of my zip code and none of the stores in that parameter came up as having any in stock. I don't recall seeing anything regarding this on our shipment details and my manager never relayed anything to me so I imagine this is a website only deal for now.

I feel your pain Michael and it pains me to hear about defective merchandise being sold. That's why I wish we had an area in the store where we could extensively test product that's to be traded in but they won't commmit the space, time, or manpower for such a thing. I personally can't stand trading in CD games from people without cases.

Anywho, like Michael said if you don't care about complete in box, this is a great price to get your foot in the door on the Neo Pocket. I've seen this item similarly packaged on Ebay and a few other sites so I'd gather that someone bought a bulk of Neo Pocket units and the loose carts that have now flooded the market (I fucking cringe everytime I do a search for Neo Geo Pocket on Ebay).

I almost ordered one last night, just to have another NGPC and three of the games that I don't already own, but then shipping to Canada was another $19.99 U.S., and I decided it wasn't worth it.

oh that's garbage, a local joint here called gamefellas(you know em mike) sells the same thing for only $59.99 ten dollars less, and all i have to do is go to the mall.
