I'd like to know as well. Gah...I shudder to think of how much that game will be commanding at it's release.

I was under the impression the SvC: Chaos kit would retail for the same price as the Matrimelee mvs kit.

I doubt it.

I'd say Playmore are going to milk this sucker for everything it's worth.

And with good reasoning.

The CvS/SvC series is a pretty well established series, even among casual gamers, so I'd bet this game will pop up in far more arcades than their recent set of releases.

This is about the only case when it sucks to be a MVS owner. While the home cart is only gonna cost around $300 and is likely to go up in value. MVS owners are gonna have to bite the bullet and pay through the nose when it comes out, or sit and wait until the price comes down.

Well, looking to big games of the past, i.e. KOF99 and 2000... We saw them debut at $1200-1500. I think this may be the most expensive release yet, currently my guess is $1800 at release, and will drop quickly to around $1000 after that.

Looking at the Gamespot polls this will be a popular game, and Arcades are going to have to pay through the nose for it in the beginning. It is true, US MVS users will have to wait a little while, but we should see it down to $250 probably at Christmas time.... If you really can't wait, buy the Home cart... It will be worth more later on anyway... This is one of those home carts I am thinking of buying as well, as it is the only one that really seems collectable to me!

Anyway, SvC, I am guessing $1500-1800... maybe we should have a poll/mock contest of who guesses closest wink If this does debut at the Matrimelee price ($450), I will be shocked...but also very happy, I'd probably splurge on this one.

I don't agree with this at all... It's true that the MVS will cost around 1500$ at release, but this release will be some months before the AES one, and most likely at that time the MVS prices will have dropped to 300$. So in general MVS owners can have the game at the same time and price that AES, it's just that they have the option to have it some months before for a *price*. OK, after that the MVS price keeps falling. You just need to wait til it's low enough for you. For example I've waited around 10 months and finally bought RotD for around 60$. If you are confortable paying 300$ for it just buy it at that time, but take care that is not a good investement.

Well, in that same regard, MVS is never a good investment... it seems it is always going down in price. I bet ROTD will be one of those $30 MVS games soon, and most carts hit a level, ala MS X at $90, and sit there forever.... Investment wise, there is never a return, and usually a dip slightly.... So, buy MVS for the game... and enjoy it, hehe, cause you aren't getting them money back unless you turn around and sell it the same day... still might take a loss! wink

It is true though, my price is $100, when games dip below that I buy them. I am waiting for KOF01 and 02... 01 is getting really close at $129... but I can wait! I bought ROTD at $75, I was going to buy it at $90, but it dropped to fast (LOL). So, I try not worry about it, but I agree with you... spend what you are comfortable with, because on MVS, you won't be getting it back (main reason most shops don't stock newer MVS carts, but order them in when an order is placed...) For me, I think SvC is a $250 buy point wink
