I'm moving and will probably be buying a new TV. Trying to decide what to get and I am definetly keeping the Neo in mind since it is what I'm viewing on the screen the most.

What do you guys think. I know alot of people don't like big screens because it makes things to pixelated. At Porshpwr's place I must admit that things looked freakin great on his 32" Wega. I was thinking of going that route or maybe getting the 36". Any other opinions?

It probably depends on whether your Neo is modded for S-Video or not. I have a normal AES and it outputs like crap on my Samsung HDTV, its very dirty..the regular video signal coming from the AES is garbage on my high tech TV. But on a regular old 31" Quasar I have, the picture comes thru perfect, so thats what I stick with for all my Neo gaming.

Well we talked about this before at the DE get together but I basically have the exact same TV that Porshapwr does except its the 36" version and the Neo looks awesome on this set (as you've seen at Porshapwr's place).

Honestly I can't be happier with my set as far as playing both old and next gen games on it - they all look fantastic. :D

I have a 36 inch flat Toshiba Cinema Series set and its wonderful with all my game systems. My AES (when i had it) looked like ass on it, but then again its composite out sucks to begin with. The S-video from the JROK on my MVS 2 slot console is groovy on it.

Panasonic's flat tube series 'Tau' are also very nice. They have a lovely picture on them too.

I suggest a toshiba as well. The picture is sharp and crisp, and they are manufactured well. They are also cheaper than Sony's.

That's perfect. I have played the Neo Geo on the 32 inch model, and it looks fantastic with the svideo.

Sonic, the only dumbass is you. I own (3) 32 inch Sony WEGA's . It says WEGA on my remote, in my instruction manual, on all 4 sides of the big ass box it came in.If you still are a doubtful little bitch it says WEGA on Sony's website. Hey, don't take my word for it. Go to the link and see for yourself. Even the mother fuckers that make the TV say it's WEGA.

Normally, I wouldn't have typed this. It's just your little shitty "dumbasses" comment was unwarranted. Now don't be afraid to click the link and check for yourself. This is assuming you can read.

Smart ass acned little punk, why dont you keep your misinformation pollution to Unrelated, faggot.

In other news:

The sony WEGA is a great TV. I own one, and the picture is great with my Neo. Unlike a lot of other Sony products, their TV's seem to stand the test of time. I've had no problems, and really think the S-Video output is beautiful.

I think it's just preference...But you should really stay within these three name brands: Sony, Toshiba, and Samsung. In my opinion, which was formed by the gathering of many others opinions, they're the only three to pay attention to.

Hope that helps!

actually it is Vega, not Wega. I have been a sales counselor at the three main retail elactronics locations in the tri-state area so I think I would know.
It stands for the brightest star in the galaxy, that is why they gave the set that name.

while any flat screen set looks O.K. with a neo (better with an s-video mod) a better set to get would be an older non-flat screen analog set like sony'd trinitron (flat from top to bottom, slightly curved from side to side) or panasonics super flat (not truly flat). both of these should provide and eccelent picture if you can find them.

Mitch,

No disrespect to you. It's just that the Sony website, My 3 TV's, my remotes, Instruction manuals say "WEGA". We know it's pronounced "VEGA". It's just if you put VEGA in the search engine nothing turns up. Basically, Sonic(Insert random numbers) made a little shitty comment by calling people dumbasses about a word that was spelled correctly. It's his blatant disregard for members of this board that is starting to get irritating. Anyway, that's what it was all about.

I can also recommend the Wega, as I have a 27" at my place running S-Video for my Neo.

Pardon me, a punk-ass kid who likes bickering and making sarcastic remarks? You're referring to yourself, I suppose...

I'd highly recommend a Sony TV too, I have a 28" Trinitron widescreen and the picture on that is very nice. My friends Toshiba TV is also pretty solid, so I'd recommend those too.

It's VEGA.... the V is being reflected so it looks like a W, but it's definately a V.

The 36" flat Toshiba is $900.00 and the 36" flat Wega(or Vega I don't fucking care) is $1,800.00 is it that much better than the Toshiba?
