Yes after 3 weeks I am selling the Neo Geo with all its games I have always wanted as a kid. It has not been touched. I am fucking going crazy because I still have not found the correct PSU for it, A FUCKING PRO POW 2, I HAVE A PROW POW, (THE SYSTEM REQUIRES A PRO POW 2). I am so upset and have gone into a depression over this. I love Neo Geo, I was so happy when I got it after wanting for about 10 years. This kinda shit always happens to me. Its a Nightmare.

Can anyone please please please find me a Prow Pow 2 or can I use another PSU. Where can I purchase one from. Please help. I have posted so many questions under the heading 'voltage' in the search box.

Dude, seriously... did you even look at the store here? Shawn has the adapters for every system!

Yes I know, but one of them is a Prow Pow 3, but I need a Prow Pow 2. If I need a Prow Pow 2 then the voltage must be 5v but I am not sure about the amp 1.2 or 3 or 5?

I see that there is a generic brand, not sure exaclty if it will work with every single AES system. (I am feeling a bit better)

What's the power requirement you need, exactly?

I homebrewed (kinda) a Neo CD power supply, and I'm sure you can find, if not MAKE a compatible supply a LOT easier than you think.

Well thats the thing I do not know what a AES SYSTEM WITH 'USE PROW POW 2 AC ONLY, IS IN TERMS OF POWER REQUIREMENTS. MY PROW POW HAS THE FOLLOWING INFO:

91-25909

AC100v 50/60Hz 38VA

DC5V 3A

THIS IS THE WRONG PSU FOR MY MACHINE. THE SERIAL NO ON THE MACHINE IS 052305, ITS A NEO 0 MODEL AS WELL. ON TOP OF ALL THIS THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL WHICH IS ALL IN JAP STATES THAT IT IS 9V VERSION. I AM TOTALLY LOST.

The POW 3 is 10V Output, which should be pretty good... I had no idea SNK went from a 5V to a 9V to a 10v... that's odd indeed. Contact Shawn, he should be able to find you one,

Does anyone know what the technical specifications of the generic PSU are at the neo store.

Okay, I know this is a pretty late reply on this thread but seriously man, the voltage is your only real concern, and yeah a 10 volt PSU will work fine on a 9 volt system. Basically the voltage regulator will drop the voltage to 5 for the logic chips and other general hardware on the board and even if it’s a 10 volt PSU when it should be a 9 volt it should end up under say 5.3 volts which really isn’t a big deal. And a helpful titbit on the Amps front, THE FREAKING SKY IS THE FREAKIN LIMIT MAN!!!!! It truly doesn't matter how many amps run through the board as that’s the current or the quantity of 5 volt charge that is carried to the board. Think of all the super-gun rigs out there running 10, 15 and even up to 20 Amp PSU's on any number of different arcade PCB's. The NGH hardware has the same componentry as the MVS version and is typical of many other 68000 16bit arcade PCB's too. DO NOT BE CONCERNED ABOUT AMPS!!!!! Though in saying that, too little amperage will cause problems like spasmodic resets or just complete boot failure. Anyway in closing, I use a totally generic 9 volt 1.1 Amp PSU with my Neo NGH and it’s been utterly bullet proof!!! Long live the Neo! glee
