Just to share some points about MVS kits.
It's VERY hard to find complete kits nowadays since ALMOST ALL arcade operators trashed the boxes and art sets, since they kept space for nothing and space COSTS.
When I'm lucky and find one operator when complete kits,I have to negotiate the price and to try to get him to sell them since it is NOT uncommon he will say to me"I KEEP MY STUFF SINCE I USE IT".
Infact if you think about it,MVS carts are made for business use.
That's the reason as well why some Metal slug kits, like slug X or slug 3 or 2 are more expensive to me when I try to buy them:THEY ARE EXCELLENT COINS EATERS and operators won't part with them if for a good amount.
Rare games on MVS kits are,OFTEN,same rare games on home carts, since most of the times they are uncommon games.
That's the reason WAKU 7,TWINKLE STAR SPRITES,FLIP SHOT and so on are very hard to find:infact operators tend to buy only big hits(i.e. very common and famous games like MS,KOF and so on) and very few pieces of uncommon games..or not at all of them.
As for the prices when I find some kits,I always put them on offer.
Why?
Everybody can have a chance to get them and feel comfortable with what he paid since he set the price.
Of course, real collectors already know all these points,I took the time to write this to educate all of you who thinks MVS kits should have fixed price or be as cheap as loose carts.
That's the way I deal with neo geo gamers and collectors since it is the way REAL world goes.
Different prices, different arcade operatos, different condition kits.
If you want set prices, you can buy from stores and of course, good luck fidning rare MVS complete kits.
Most of the times you will find COMMON kits and for very cheap and fair prices.
It's natural when you buy from the factory bulks of MVS kits .
Feel free to post your questions or comments.
