I have started collecting MVS games once again, and I am starting to collect some Kits too.

I just want to know "How much have you other MVS/Kit Collectors have paid for your Kits?

There are very few sources for buying MVS Kits and I have seen prices vary quite a bit.

Anyways I think this information should not be kept a secret.

Sometimes I would see Kits for sale and I would ask the seller "How much did you sell the Kit for?" And the reply would be...... The buyer would like to keep that info private.

Anyways here is what I have paid for my MVS Kits, its not much right now but I hope to buy more as they come up for sale. wink

View Point/English Kit $150 Shipped
Prehistoric Isle 2/English Kit $250 Shipped
Strikers 1945 Plus/English Kit $250 Shipped
Neo Turf Masters/English Kit $150 Shipped
Zuppapa/English Kit $45 Shipped
Sengoku 3/English Kit $50 Shipped
Super Dodgeball/English Kit $289 plus shipping...(Neo Store)
Blazing Star/English Kit...around $170 +/-

Well that is my Kit collection and prices.

Anyone else care to post their Kit(s) and Prices?

I got a hold of several kits in bulk deals. So when I sold some of the games I came out way ahead. wink However, I did put the actual up front cost of the game in parenthesis before I sold anything. Sometimes I've just got lucky on EBAY and hunting around the net. This is really the only way I can afford to get games. These kind of deals are getting a lot harder to find. oh_no

Neo Mr. Do - $100
Fatal Fury - $15
Andro Dunos - FREE ($35)
Zupapa - FREE ($35)
Stakes Winner 2 - FREE ($50)
World Heroes 2 - FREE (Contest Prize)
World Heroes 2 JET - FREE ($5)
Samurai Shodown 2 - FREE ($5)
Samurai Shodown 3 - FREE ($5)
Ultimate 11 - FREE ($20)
Sengoku 3 - FREE ($35)

Kit prices do vary a lot, probably partly to do with only a few coming to market and partly to do with the fact there is no price guide. It would be interesting to see what a kit price guide did to the stability of kit prices.

Also, geography has more to do with MVS prices than it does the home carts. Some games, for example Bang Bead are much more common in Europe than they are in the US simply because it got a European release but not a US one.

It is just a mean to have more money for the seller. He would be able to sell his kits at price he wants, because there is no price guide, also when a guy tell him the price..."buyer don't want,it is a secret".
What secret? lol
Bullshits.Just a mean to keep the price at higher level.
I appreciated the fact that when Trieuminator sold his kits,he putted ALL PRICES for ALL games, except 2/3(Super Tag Battle, etc")

Here are prices of games i sold in the past months, shipping included for most(i live in France, a kit costs 18/20Usd to ship in Usa,and 7/8 Euros for Europe)

Overtop 120$ Without shipping(given)
Neoturf Master 120/130/150$
Metal Slug 3 150 Euros
Prehistoric Isle 2 170 shipping included(given)
Sengoku 2 130 Usd
Viewpoint 150 USd

Mvs kits are not that rare.
Sellers scream that, of course it is not COMMON, but some kits such as Pop'n Bounce were as common as Puzzle bobble.(More puzzle bobble, but not like a Ashita No Joe in France...).You guess when price guide said EER....Same goes for Super dodgeball(not common, but EER,what a fucking joke).
The 2 biggest Mvs kits Scams ever.
Games released in Europe only, but not a reason to multiply the price by 4 or 5.

I think a lot will pop up with time.
In Spain,South of France, and Italy, there are Tons of Mvs kits.

When speaking about MVS kits rarity should depend not only on getting a complete kit but also on its condition.

Getting some mvs kits in great shape (near mint/mint) can become really difficult.

I do not agree at all.
I have many contacts and all you can find are LOOSE carts.
Almost all operators trashed the boxes long time ago to save space.

More there are carts, more you can find complete kits...logic.
With the enormous amount of tourism in south of France,Italy and Spain in Summer, there are tons of arcade games...logic
People in holydays play a lot.
Also there are a lot of mvs games, and kits.

Did you already went to South of France?
Some Guys bought Arcade Pcbs by 100 Packages.
A STEAL.
Just to give you an idea.

I went to Spain about 2 years ago, near the borderline.
In EVERY shop for foreigners i went, there were a game with neo geo game on it.
Games like Breakers Revenge,Captain Tomaday.

I have some family close in Domodossola,Italy, and went 2 times in the past, there were tons of arcade games, especially rally games and soccer games.

Of course there are 80% of loose carts for 20% of complete kits, maybe less
But sometimes there are very serious coin operators that keep all.
And when you find one of them,Jackpot.

I understand the fact that that kind of stuff is not common, because of the carton box.
But If you search, you find.

Kits will always be hard to find in my opinion. As time passes, they will probably actually get harder. I was lucky enough once to win an auction from an operator and he shipped my game in an original metal slug box though (label in great shape too!). If you have ever been to an operators place, they are usually packed, everything from full cabs to bags full of goodies to put into redemption machines and boxes of stickers. Sometimes you have to kinda hop to get around.

The best thing is when they tell you to go ahead and look around: Sometimes they don't even know what's laying around. One time I found a nice stack of flyers/dip sheets/mini marquees and he said to just go ahead and take them. I still don't have most of the games that go with them.

Your sig is too big.

It probably the coolest big sig in a while, but its still too big.

I had an operator send me a kit but he used crumpled MVS art sets as packing material crying .

It is well known that i find only poor loose carts...
I am not Da Neo geo Mvs complete kit expert, but i find sometimes complete kits, not only loose carts.
No use to waste more time in that thread.
You're right Simone

That's awful! :( I wonder if he had any idea how expensive his packing material was? Did you still keep the flyers?
