I've wanted AOF2 for years. I remember seeing screens (and a review, I believe) in GamePro waaaaayyyy back and thinking "wow those character sprites are huge!". I wanted this game pretty badly, but at the time I didn't have that kind of money since I was just a kid.
Well, I finally got it. It seems like it would be an awesome fighting game if it were just toned done to normal difficulty levels. This game is insanely hard. On the easiest difficulty I cannot win even a single round against the first opponent!!! And since I don't have anyone I can play 2P VS with it kills a lot of the fun of it
. AOF1 was pretty hard too (I've gotten to the last boss -obviously Takuma- but never beaten him
).
I guess they figured out that the AOF games were too hard and made AOF3 much easier. AOF3 is definitely more my speed. I love that game. It's certainly one of my favorite Neo titles. AOF2 could be too, if it were playable
