Semi-OT- KOF96 for NES?

I got a copy of a rom image of apparently KOF96 for the NES, has anyone heard/seen this game before? I've tried a couple of NES emulators but none seemed to run it.

I thought NES was dead long long long time ago. KOF 96 for NES?? Maybe it's an Asian ripoff copy or someone created it for fun

I know there was an SNK fighter that included terry and mai. IT was along time ago but all the characters had an aweful colour palette. Not a bad fighting game for the NES, but it was really hard. I had a working rom image. I'll look thru my zip disks for it. It my have been KoF cuz there was over 10 fighters. There was a battle scene on a train like in Snk vs Capcom if that rings a bell at all?

You thinking of the hacked Fatal Fury Special for the NES? I still have a ROM of that. Kind of fun, really. I did however come across a Famicom cartridge of World Heroes 2 PRO, which looks like some kind of home made effort to put ADK, Capcom, SNK & possibly other companies' characters into some kind of game.

It said KOF96 actually and showed a small pic of the team China's stage (NES style, hehe). These sound kinda neat to look into.

I have the ROM as well. Try RockNES. It seems to play just about anything. Even the Japanese DBZ games which previously only worked so so on FWnes.
