Crystal System dead?

Does anyone else think this thing is DOA? It has less games than the Hyper, and it's been out for what, 2 years? No new releases planned?

Depends on what hardware Playmore uses after the MVS. And it sounds like they are not interested in Naomi or any of the newer boards, they are looking for a value-priced, well-built 2D powerhouse board that can keep them on top as the best buy in the arcade market worldwide.

The question is whether the Crystal system fits the bill, or whether it showed up too early.

It was indeed DOA, right from the beginning...

There's no room in arcades today for a 2D-only board, except for the MVS (and just because it's cheap and already widespread all over the arcades)

Yeah, whatever happened to this thing? There was a lot of buzz about it for a bit here and then it just died so quickly.

Are there still only two games for it (that soccer game and the beat-em-up)??? Are any more games planned?

Has anyone seen one in Japan?? Last time I went I went to a lot of arcades and never saw one.

Who is it made by? Was it made by SNK also?

Ive heard of this thing, seen pics of it, but never more than that.. No real information.
