Did any US mvs MOTW come without serial numbers ?

All of my neo geo mvs carts are totally official but today i got a us MOTW which was advertised as 100 percent genuine yet the shell is of more of a dull plastic colour than a hard shiny black shell plus the mvs label which looks genuine has no serial numbers written on it.

is this a bootlreg or are some know to be like this ?

I havent opened it as i wouldnt know what to look for to prove it one way or the other

If you have a digital camera we can help you identify it... There is no way to tell if it is a boot though by the label or case. Most US Garous were in black I believe, however, the green was Japanese.

The US MOTW also comes in clear plastic flavour.

I'd say that the color of case and lack of serial # are a bad sign. But as nruva said, pics of the PCBs will tell the real story, Lee. Maybe if you can shoot a few it would help?

I havnt got no digi cam at the moment but all in all i have owned over 60 mvs games in my time and none of the black cases have looked like this at all it is made ofthe same plastic as the neo geo cd joypad plus where the triangle is underneath it is indented instead of being painted on and someone has obviously opened the case before to see the chips inside as the label has been screwed up slightly in the middle

Maybe if someone else has a pics of the inside pcb i can look at then i will open up my one to check if the insides are the same ?

I am up to 23 games now but as for kof 2002 i wouldnt be envious as its a pile of shit in my opinion. i even re got kof 99 and i dont like that much any more, much to my dismay i now think 98 and 2000 are good. i must be ill as at one time i hated kof 2000 more than i hate kof 2002 now, who knows next year i might ;love it,
i been playing last blade 1 and 2 alot recently and i am in awe at the stylish backdrops.

The cart pic is not a pic of my cart,but the boards are mine.

My Green Japanese MOTW MVS cart has the serial numbers on a chrome SNK sticker over the left side of the label..

There are two original board sets for this game that I know of..I have a pic somewhere of the other board set.

9416 w91 and snk corp neo273 though but the pcb itself is plain with no writting on whatsoever, loks like i got my first fkn bootleg

Well its a fucking rip off, after playing the game twice yesterday i lost one round each time against kain and got the coming soon writting at the end as have not played it for so long didnt know if u had to do it with no continues to get the full ending but after reading this thread i just went back at it and defeated every fighter including kain without a single loss of a round with butt or rodriguez and it still said the sa,me fucking thing

coming soon.. so i guess i got well and truly stiched, it will the first and last time someone stitches me up
