HELP! Sound is screwed up

I just got my AES system JP and KOF96 and the grpahics are fine but the sounds is muffled and very very scratchy. Any idea what this is?

Man, I wish there was a tech section here...

Oh wait, there is. It could be many things. A screwed up cart, dirty cart, loose slots.

BTW it works when I use the jack in fron of the machine just fine. It does not work though when connected to my tv properly. I get static.

btw no need to call me names. I was just excited I got the system and I wanted it to work. Sorry for any problems I caused putting this post here..

Or they're too lazy to post.... Well, sometimes, the sounds comes fucked up on my Fatal Fury home cart. Some reasons why, is that the cart could be dirty, also the cartridge slot could be dirty as well. For the game cart, I would use Q-tips to clean the dirt from the contacts. For the system, I haven't tried this, but people say this works, use rubbing alcohol to clean the cartridge slot. I haven't tried to clean the cartridge slot with that method, but, I don't know if it can fuck up your system. But, people say they've done it, and it works.

Thanks Jedite thats exactly what I tried and it workd great! I am playing KOF96 right now. Having tons of fun.

Well, I am glad you got it to work. KOF96 is a great fighter.

For future reference, you must be more detailed as to what you've already tried and so on.
