If I'm not generally inclined to play shooters, will I like MS3?

I have NAM 1975 and Alpha Mission 2; I play ASOII more than NAM. I'm not a big shooter fan; I goth these games because they were cheap. But MS3 gets into the big $$$. Would it be worth my money to get the most impressive Neo release, or should I save my cash for KOF 2K2 (or even 2K3)? I'm much more into fighthers than shooters. Will MS3 "blow me away" enough to convert me and give it relay? Thanks for any advice.

MS3 is not a straight shooter, it is more like a platformer/shooter hybrid (have you ever played Contra, it is like that).

I think you will love it... the variety, the animation, the intensity, it is just about the most impressive game to ever appear on the NeoGeo, and it is fun as heck.

Platformer/Shooter is a good description of the game. It really is a frantic shooter though, so be prepared for a challenge. I think one of the coolest things about this game (besides the huge number of vehicles/animals to drive) is the multiple branching paths. It gives the game a lot of replay value.

Hopefully MS3 will get your primed for the earlier releases, as they are amazing games in their own right.
