Hello folks, I have got an overwhelming amount of e-mails sitting in my box right now from members of this board from being scammed and ripped off!! This is absolutly sickening to me and I want to do something to help. I have put together the Internet Fraud Faq. I sat down and wrote this myself today and I really hope this can help some of my friends and others who have been taken to the cleaners!! Anyone who wants to use this Faq, link it to thier page, whatever by all means do so. I hope this helps. Thanks...Sonny.

that's pretty cool, i didn't know about there even being a law about internet crime such as what you listed in the faq

Looks like a good start!

Do you want us to permanently post your Internet Fraud FAQ somewhere on this site?

Maybe as a part of the Glossary or somewhere else as a reference tool? People can add to it with either state-specific info or other stuff (I think Mouse_Master posted stuff about that recently). Well keep your name as the creator/by-line and get better exposure.

Bobak I would definitely like to do something like that. It would be great to have it somewhere here on the site because I actually wrote it for the members here. Unfortunately I am going to have to retype the whole thing seeing how Tripod didnt like the idea and deleted the page it was on. I will type it up and send it to you. Bobak what is your email? Maybe I should retype it here and let you cut and paste it? Just let me know. Thanks

Definitely a good idea. A friend of mine could have used that when he was getting started on eBay, and it may still be possible to do something at this point.

GA: Small question... is it international?(ie I get ripped off in the US and I live in Canada, can I call the local police over there even if I'm not from the same country as the seller?)

It's a great faq btw.

Yes NickD, I see no reason what so ever it would not work Internationally. The Police should care about you as a victim, not what country you are from.

And for all of you who do not know the Fraud Faq is now hosted on this page. Shawn was good enough to host it for us and Bobak put it at the top of his review section. Good luck and I hope it helps.
