After years of playing on crappy playstations, saturns and dreamcast's (which is a great console) I finally have a AES cartridge system! buttrock I finally paid 500 $ (including shipping) for it. I got it with six games Samurai Shodown 1,2&3, Fatal fury 1& special and nam 1975 loco . Everything with case, insert and manual. 2 Joysticks 1 original and one new style oval stick.

The only thing that I don't like about it, is that it got a rf unit instead of a rgb cable. How can I get the best picture possible (I play it on a new jvc widescreen tv)? Which cable gives the best connection and where can I get it (cheap)?

I am also looking for Metal Slug 3 and 4. Which of the two is the best and which one should I get (I am planning on getting them both, when I got the cash drool )? Which price should I pay for it? And what about those Metal Slug 1 conversions?

I know this are a lot of questions, but I hope you can help me...thanx

Congrats, getting ya system. Metal Slug 3 and 4 are at the Neostore for $249 each. Conversions are bootlegs of the home carts, so they aren't legit, I don't know if they fuck up ya system, but, they are illegal to sell.

Get RGB SCART cable wich has DIN 8 male plug in the other end of the cable.

Lets hear it for Henke! That sounds like a nice deal. I like the game bundle that came with the system. For improved graphics you might try contacting KennyBoy about modding your system. He's trustworthy and fast. He also sells the Phantom1 mvs->aes adapter so you can play mvs carts instead of shelling out big bucks for homecarts. Anyways congrats on owning the best system ever :)

The dude is in Europe, so SCART should suit him fine. Another alternative to that is a s-video mod, which Kenny Boy, or JM Kurtz do for the systems.

On another note, both Metal Sluga that you mentioned, are available at the Neo Store. I personally like MS3, but the choice is up to you. :)

thanx. The thing is I played MS 3 in the arcades, on the ps2 and with mame. Buth I never played MS4. I know there are some additional features to MS3 compared with the arcade version. Is it better than the ps2 version?

Don't waste your time on Slug 4 if it comes to either that or Slug 3.

While the PS2 version of Slug 3 has some extra features, it is a port hence not original...AES is the only way to go.

I read somewhere that there were only 500 US copies made of this game. Is this true?
