I've kept my eye on the SvC Chaos site for awhile now, and it seems playmore can't get their character names for Capcom right. They have Balrog labeled as M. Bison and Vega labeled as Balrog. I can assume that Vega is really supposed to be Vega as they have his art up, along with Balrog. So the real question, is the M. Bison name just a typo, or is he actually going to be in the game...?

Wow for many years people have known that:

M. Bison = U.S. Balrog
Vega = U.S. M. Bison
Balrog = U.S. Vega
Gouki = U.S. Akuma

Where have you been man?

A LITTLE more info;

Capcom didn't want to bring out a character named Mike Bison in US arcades for obvious reasons [mike tyson]

and so, the name change

I'm actually a little disappointed that you didn't include Gouki and Tabasa in your initial post (Gouki = U.S. Akuma [as Solidus Snake mentioned] and Tabasa = U.S. Tessa). CAPCOM's got a long history of changing character names for the non-Japanese editions of its games. Warzard (aka Red Earth), the Vampire series (aka DarkStalkers), and the Street Fighter series are rife with chara name changes. But by far the worst offender must be Muscle Bomber (aka Saturday Night Slam Masters). With the exception of Mike Haggar (whose name had already gone unchanged in Final Fight 3-1/2 years earlier), all of the other 9 playable chara had their names altered for the non-Japanese editions of Muscle Bomber. And the altered names sucked compared to the original Japanese ones. very_ang

While I think it's a given that SNKNEOGEOUSA will change M. Bison, Balrog, and Gouki to Balrog, Vega, and Akuma for the U.S. edition of SVC, I keep hoping that they might forget to change Tabasa to Tessa (since she's a more obscure chara, I'd like to think such a thing might be in the realm of possibility).

I prefer the Japanese names over the altered ones, and it would simply amuse me if Playmore accidentally allowed Tabasa's original name to sneak thru the game's Americanization process. Then again, SNK did remember to change her name to Tessa for the English-language edition of Gekitotsu Card Fighters...
