Basically a wood-nymph type creature, mystical in nature so as not to require physical organs to aid in propagation of the species? I think it is very good.

Oy. She's not wearing clothes... ... scary.
But you said it's not porn so..
she has a cute face like a lil' kid.
you're a good artist. http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/smile.gif the purple-pink-yellow-white shading on her skin is really well done.
i wish i had photoshop. http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/frown.gif T_T i've got a large bunch of old sketches that i want to somehow digitally edit.
Very nice picture...Liked it entirely.

Very nice job Black Hayato. Looks like it would make for a cool tattoo or something. Also, you have an interesting sense of color blending on her hair and skin. The only gripe I'd have about it, and this is kinda' petty really, is the black ink line outlining her is a tad thick. It's a lot easier to convey subtltie and sensuality by using a thin line within the delicate curves. Still an excellent piece though. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Hey Black Hayato, would you mind looking at some of my art in the "Some more fan art" thread? I'm not fishing for a compliment or anything, I just figured since I could dish out some constructive criticism, and you were so cool in getting it, that you wouldn't mind critiquing my art as well.
I'm not implying that my art is some standard to go by, but if you'll notice, I used "the black ink line" look in the Mai and Andy pic. Again, when it comes to females, if you're using ink, it's almost necessary to go light with it on the outline so you can portray their smoothness and sensuality. Whereas when you draw a guy, a thick ink line almost conveys thickness and strength. Sounds weird, but see what you think if you go at a drawing with that mind-set. It's helped me when I draw ladies, at least I think it has.
Two great artists to study when it comes to ink drawings of women are Dave Stevens and Ron Wilber. They have the gift of line control down to a damn science. You can find some of their work at most comic shops if you go looking for some. Another artist worth looking into is Dennis Cramer, the artist of Mara of the Celts. You can see some of his work here:
http://www.roast.com/mara/fasintro.htm
Check some of this stuff out, and let me know what you think.
*added this part* That link for Dennis Cramer's work is acting kinda' funny. You may have to hit refresh a few times to get the page, but believe me it's worth it. Mara is a babe, and Dennis' work really kicks ass. Check it out.
