If this would be a universal battle (such as every fighting character from Capcom and SNK)expect to see Mega Man,SonSon,more Darkstalkers characters, maybe some GowCaizer characters,Savage Reign characters, and other characters you wouldn't expect. The final boss would be some galaxy destroyer who wreaked havoc on all the different time periods and worlds of the fighters so they come together to stop him. Or in an alternate view just keep throwing in normal characters like Ryu,Kyo,etc.I would like to see some Street Fighter EX characters although Arika helped Capcom in the game. I would also like to see K'and Kim's sons because they deserve to be in the game in my opinion.More Last Blade perhaps, Kaede would be a nice addition, also Batsu would be nice as a playable character including Hyo.

I'd like to see the entire cast of Fatal Fury 2 in there, seeing as that's 8 characters and 4 bosses (which is the exact same amount of characters as Street Fighter 2)

So you can finally have SF2 Vs. Fatal Fury 2.

if there ever was a 3rd edition,i want virtually every single fighter that has ever appeared in a snk and capcom game with super lifelike 3d backgrounds,2d gameplay and a nice storyline for every fighter.

Am i asking for too much? could the current next gen.consoles handle it? hehe!!

What console would it be for? Gamecube,Dreamcast,PS2(that stupid hunk of junk), or the X-Box? I say either Gamecube or Dreamcast.

Do you know why I hate him ?
If he enter this game, he will destroy the game and will make it like Crapcom vs series.... Fly and gun...etc really boring
I like Capcom vs SNK style more than Marvel vs Capcom style... I don't like to put Mega Man, and some others like him... I think you know what I mean

I think Clark would be a better grappler, and he could represent the curently absent Ikaris.

I don't think you'll see a capcom vs. snk 3.

Capcom is notorious at stopping at 2 in a series. The only series they've ever gone to 3 in was Street Fighter 3, and that took forever.

I doubt there will be a Marvel VS. Capcom 3 or SNK vs. Capcom 3. If there are more VS. games they'll probly have new titles.

I'd like to see Shen Long .

Also it'd be cool to have Camel Slug.. he he he...ahhh.

I don't think Shen Long was ever supposed to be a character. If your refering to the quote Ryu had in SF2, he was refering to his Dragon punch/ or an actual Dragon. The Dragon god is called Shen Long in Japan.

Anyone that watches Dragonball Z will be familiar.

So in other words in order to beat me you must overcome my dragon punch, or defeat a dragon.

Yeah, I know but the American Gouku (Akuma's brother) is supposed to be named Shen Long. There was a bunch of rumors for years that you could play against him in SFII. GamePro fueled the fires by publishing doctored pics as an April Fools joke, saying you had to go 15 rounds, or something like that against Bison without getting hit, or hitting him..7 draws in a row, and then Shen Long will appear! He looked like Ken, with long hair and a beard and a firey Dragon Punch (unheard of at that time!).

I think it'd be cool if it weren't an American only thing.

I'll change my answer to "Evil Dan". he he he.

The shen long thing was a rumor I saw in EGM one year, that he was selectable in Street Fighter 3. They even had a fake screen shot of the VS screen too, kinda looked like Gen's portriat with the colors changed accually.

But other than that i'm 99% positive the referance to shen long by ryu was about his dragon punch/or spirit of a dragon. Not to an actual person, or his master shen long (It's never been stated anywhere ryu has a master)

Yeah, they've been pulling the Shen Long trick for years.

There haven't been any references to Shen Long in any game because it's a strictly American game-folklore thing...sorta why I change my pick to "Evil Dan" or "Dark Dan", complete with Double Aerial Gadoken!

There have been references to Ryu and Ken's master Gouku..can I site a reference? Nope...nothing comes to mind, but then again I can't point you to where it says Ryu scarred Sagat's chest, although that is the commonly accepted story and has been since SF2. *shrug* I know my game lore, I just can't prove any of it .

If anyone would know on these boards, I think Rain would. He seems to be fairly knowledgable about the Street Fighter world.

Official SF Back Story: Ryu, Ken and Retsu trained under Master Gouken, who was trained by Goutetsu. Gouki (Akuma) was also trained by Goutetsu... Goutetsu taught his two students the killer arts of Shotoken, which only Gouki used... Gouken developed his own style which "edited out" the killer stylings. He passed on this knowledge to Ryu, Ken and to a lesser extent, Retsu. Then Gouki killed Goutetsu by blind siding him, once he felt that he was powerful enough... afterwards, he and Gouken battled, which ended with Gouken being knocked into a nearby waterfall... Apparentely dead (Though Retsu is still searching for his master)

Drift King EX is correct in saying that Sheng Long means Dragon Punch, but I thought it was a chinese word.... can't remember where I heard that one

One other thing where people get confused about Gouki's master is in SFA2.... Gouki addresses Gen as Master Gen.... this is merely a show of respect however

As far as game references go.... Sagat mentions the scar on his chest (And how Ryu caused it) in his SSF2X ending.... and one of the Alpha's as well.

And Ryu and Ken's master references.....? None that spring to mind. However the Statues in Goukis SFA1 ending and SFA2 background, are thought to be of Gouken and Goutetsu.

Oh, and Gouken also trained Dan.... briefly. Gouken saw that the only reason that he wanted to learn was to kill Sagat (For killing his father) Gouken only trained him the basics for this reason. Dan than went off, and created his own mish-mash of a fighting style.

Hope that clears a few things up for ya

Sheng Long means "Star Dragon" when spoken Cantonese, which is one out of 150 Chinese languages(and it's Jackie Chan's nickname in all of China, including Hong Kong)
It also mean "Dragon God" or "God Dragon"

Getting back on topic..

The only way I see CVS3 being a "Universe" battle is to have it play like the VS series, etiher MVC or MVC2 style. There is no other way I can see bringing in all these diverse characters in to a serious fighting game. I mean think of the Metal Slug crew as actual fighters. It wouldn't really be Metal Slug if they didn't whip out their guns!

Anyways, I'd love to see a clash of the universes. KOF 2k had a lot of strikers from different games I never even knew of, so some of those characters could come into play against the Capcom crew.

OFF TOPIC SF QUESTION

Can someone clear this up for me???

SFAlpha 1 and 2 are supposed to be prequels right???

I just had a though that:
In alpha 1 and 2, ryu wears a white bandana, however in kens sfa2 ending he gives Ryu his bandana he used to tie his hair into a ponytail.

Just a thought, but is that why he (ryu) uses a red bandanna later on in the SF series???
