how many snk

I was reading a toyfair mag and thay put a thing about StreetFighter and thay told that Dan was made from 7 snk guys. Thay said one of them was Ryo.who are the others?

One of them is Terry, hence the ponytail.

the whole AOF team, he has ryos look/costume, yuri's win pose, roberts kicks and I forget the others, anyone else know?

i thought that Dan is made from 2 SNK characters,Ryo and Robert.

So you're telling me that Dan, one of the lamest characters, is made from some of the best characters? I find that very amusing if it is true......oh and I think Takuma is one since he puts on that stupid mask.....

Most capcom fans I know, consider him an insult to SNK.
That hes making fun of our fav characters.
Just a little joke from the girls at capcom.

I agree with hun i thought that he was taken from ryo and robert because ryo was supposed to be taken from ryu and ken? Something like that?

Dan is very drasticly underestimated. In the right hands he does a crazy ammount of damage in any game that he is in. For example his super fireball does more damage when it connects than any other character(besides the ex chars.)

Ok, here is the story that I’ve been told about Dan’s origins. When AOF came out, everyone looked at Ryo as a direct rip off or Ryu (in name, fireball, uppercut). Capcom was almost going to sue SNK over it, however they decided to create Dan, who ripped off a bunch of SNK characters, and make a fool of him. Hence the Pink gi, the crying when he wins, his really crappy fireball, etc. However, as time went on, they made Dan a very powerful character, he just had a steep learning curve. Honestly, if you can master Dan, you will rock most people in the games that he’s in. Down here, the guy who one the NJ MvC2 tournament used 3 Dan’s. He absolutely crushed everyone.
Oh yeah, and the “girls at capcom” are the people who are actually bringing some more money to SNK, with releases like the Capcom vs. SNK series. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

Dan was originally intended as an insult, but neither side is taking that seriously now, and neither should we.
