Capcom vs SNK 2 is going to be compatible with the PS2 hard drive. I'm not sure exactly for what, but I know its for more than just saving games. Does anybody have any specific details on this? It can't be for the V-RAM.

The HDD will be used for data caching. Cache is basically temporary storage on a medium for faster data transfer (faster than disc transfer). In short, the load times will be shorter.

Wait... "load times"? I own a DC, what are those?

there are no load times in the dc version of CVS1.i don't think that the HDD is used cuz of the VRAM.GGX on ps2 does not need the HDD MAYBE ps2 could handle any 2d fighters.the HDD is used to cut the load times and to boost the memory.since the US ps2 may not use this, then my pic is that ps2 could handle CVS2 without sweat.still the dc version would be the better of the 2 cuz it runs on the naomi hardware.
