Recently found this site, you have to chek out the Capcom vs SNK 2 section. I see Mai blonde!? Dunno if she is Mai but they kindoff look alike. (the picture is too big to place. Here is a small pic:

Yeah Maki from crappy game call Final Fight 2...

I think, this is another fact that proves how capcom is jealous about snk's sexy
girl char. like Mai. They are now even bring an unpopular character from 3rd grade games like final fight 2 and trying to match up with one of snk's legendary and favorite sexy mascot.
This is not fair...

Never mind...this is capcom game...anyway

First I never played Final Fight, second I couldn't have Final Fight in a long shot becouse I was to young to work. Didn't Fatal Fury one had Mai?? Well atleast Fatal Fury 2 had Mai and that was in 1992 aswell.

Also that pic is recently hosted on that site, I don't hunt down every SNK pic just to know if it is wether or not of SNK. Have you actually seen every single picture of Capcom and SNK?? I doubt it <IMG SRC="smilies/veryangry.gif" border="0">

no, mai didn't apperar in FF1. i think both characters apperared right arpund the same time. sheesh, ANYTHING gets some of you guys

It's just that pretty much everyone here knows that this is Maki, and it was NOT a copy of Mai. I mean, he made two mistakes in one thread, so I corrected them, that's all. Yeah, I get a bit defensive when people talk bad about Capcom (I love both companies), and so he said "they copied Mai... that's sad". Hmmm... if anyones played Final Fight 2, Maki looks nothing like Mai in her art there. im getting the SNES game soon, maybe i can scan the manual for pics...but yeah SNK artist Shinkiro really made her look like Mai for CvS2...

Mai is not in the first Fatal Fury game. However, I'm almost certain that Fatal Fury 2 was released before Final Fight 2. Still, Maki is not a copy of Mai. While I'm at, as far as I'm concerned, Mai is the most overrated female character ever. She's a total ditz and has no business being a ninja. The only reason(s) she is popular are her breasts! Heh, she's even a little chubby! I can't understand why people are so infatuated with her.

You're right. In fact, apart from the red outfit, Maki doesn't look much like Mai at all. The depths some people will go...

I think she has a great fighting style, and people shouldn't watch the looks of a character. Well then.. the whole DOA series must be shit because every girl there have big breasts. Thats new for me...

DOA is pretty much shit anyway, the game would be ALOT more serious if it had more real characters and not just the big breasted squad of fighters. Then again, Tecmo's aim WAS at selling the breasts.

Ok it went from this guy being wrong about mai and maki to DOA being crap cuz it has girls with big breasts in it....oooook then LoL chill out ppl there only games *runs for cover*

so what if he made a small mistake man he never played FF...no need to bite his head off...

You're right it's my fault. You can call a company sad, and invent reasons why something is copied (although it's not), and no one will care. Wake up. You didn't even know that the pic wasn't mai! yeah bthat is maki, i know her since i played final fight. snk has more copycat character from capcom.

they immatated my beautiful morriganne with their frozen kula.

they copied chun-lis hair do imatated by athena asamiya and i even think that xiang fei did it too.
