This guy kept it simple. He tries to implement my strategy{hit the opponent when he can't hit you, and position yourself to a point that you can recover from mistakes without sacrificing too much damage} But I beat him like nothing, when I played EX Balrog.
He seemed kinda upset when I told him, that I would let him pick my other character{s}. I don't know how to play anyone but Balrog, I use the old style of playing.
He let me have Dhalsim, Benimaru and EX Balrog, he took Ex Benimaru and EX Yamazaki. I wished him luck since either way he was going to lose. If he chose Yamazaki first, in either groove, he would need the time to build his supers, and playing the way I do, I wasn't going to be anywhere near him. I chose Dhalsim. He couldn't really charge up his super because he took Capcom groove, meaning that he has to execute moves to build supers. Everytime he did a move, he would be left open, right? I'd either light kick him or throw a fireball at him. I managed to get rid of his Yamazaki with dhalsim alone, then I lost Dhalsim, and beat him with Benimaru.
The strategy he used, was like mine. But all he made was one mistake, and with that first hit, he had to charge me, I think I am pretty good turtler. I kept the pressure on him in the middle, where he felt the most uncomfortable, he usually traps someone in the corner, and murders them. When he did that to me, he couldn't believe how easily I had gotten out, and how fast I put him there. I let him walk out of the corner and back into the middle. He got frustrated with my over bearing offensive turtling.
Although I like Yamazaki, if I know that people are out there to win, I'm going to try and win too. But if everyone is playing for the hell of playing, I'll play heel and experiment and get my ass kicked from time to time.
There is no special technique he did. He just knows when to hit someone. I kind of believe in that style. But he is so aggresive, trapping and the like, but when someone does it to him, he folds like a bad business. I guess some aggresive players are so focused on what they know, that they forget about what's coming{ the unexpected reality that what you are doing no longer satsifies what it takes to score a win}. Unfortunately for him, my train ran him over. After he steamrolled over so many people, that had the same mentality as him.
