i really wonder how is capcom is going to animate rock howard in the game.i know that capcom is a master of animated characters especially in SF3.since geese and rock are going to be in the same game,i wonder how are their rising storm and deadly-rave are going to look similar to each other.i hope capcom doesn't take out one of the move to differienciate the characters.rock's rising tackle is also going to clash with terry's rising tackle.its gonna get ugly,lol.

are we sure that Rock is in the game?

I heard rumors and that's it....does anyone have any official proof of this???

he's officially been announced, yeah. there's
character art and everything for him (although i've yet to see a sprite). check out mmcafe.com and shoryuken.com to see past reports that show rocks portraits from the game.

Rock Howard is a very cool character in my book. A sweet Mix of Geese, Terry & some Original moves, Rock is a force to be reckoned with. Even though Geese & Terry are in CvS2... I still say that Rock was a right choice for Capcom to put in CvS2.

I like Rock very much as well. I am also excited to see how he is drawn in CvS2. Terry is a favorite of mine, and I always liked Geese, but was never good with him. The Raging Storm was always so impossible to pull off, it almost seemed useless.

Anyway, very excited! As I understand it, it is coming out for the Jap DC at least and very possibly in the US from someone like Crave. Fingers crossed!

Rock is a very cool character choice from Capcom...... Nice to see they are bringing in some well known fighters along with some more obscure choices. Another Garou choice (B. Jenet?) Would be cool too....

rock is one of my favourite characters, i always play him in motw, great that he is in cvs2, imagine a team that have:
rock,terry,and geese

now the 3 guys r together in one team, coooooollll!!!!!!

Alex anyone? Try Alex ME! I would love if Alex were in the game, but a lot of his animations would be cut I'm sure. Oh well, he's still a bad ass dude!

i like rock...i hated his ending in motw, and i think terrys ending would have been better...same thing happens, little bastard backstabs him....join kain, what crap....terry kicks.....

like i said, i like rock, but terry is better....if they do actually have him, i think terry should be the motw terry, so the moves arent the same....

personally i think its crap since geese and terry are already in the game...they chaned timing a lot for a lot of snk characters and all, no telling how they will change rocks timing and play, but fact is they had a much bigger list of better characters they could have added, rather then just throwing in some main characters....

OT, but what is with Alex's popularity anyways? What makes him stand out from the other characters? I just don't get it.

I have 3S and I use all the characters fairly equally, since I like to be able to use any character at random. I'm not too bad with Alex, although I prefer Hugo when it comes to grabs and throws.

I want a good reason why he's so darned popular, and not anyone else like Ibuki or Dudley.

You know.... I totally agree with you! Ibuki is my favourite SF3 fighter, and although I like Alex... I can't see any major reason for him being massively popular. Great voice though..... WEAK!

I would like to see Alex to be in Capcom vs SNK 2, he would make a good rival for Rock or Kyo (just for you guys who wanted Ryu fight against Terry instead of Kyo and for me who like to see the two left-handed heroes fight each other)
