NCSX released the price for Capcom vs SNK 2 for the DC today and it looks like it'll be the same price as the PS2 version. why? The normal price for a DC import game is what? Y5300 to Y5800 yen. So why does Capcom think they can charge the same for both the PS2 version and the dc. When Biohazard Code Veronica Perfect came out the prices where respectivly Y6800 for the PS2 and Y5800 for the DC versions. So Does Capcom think they can cash in on the fighting crazy, does production cost so much they have to sell at a higher cost to gain back there loses, or is as simple as Capcom charging the same price for the same game concidering that Capcom vs SNK 2 will be pretty much the same on both of the systems? Tell me what you think.

It sucks but hey, at least you do not have to buy a harddrive for the DC version to play it with minimal loadtimes (that is, of course, if Capcom keeps the loads as minimalistic as they were on all of their other fighters on DC (I think they will be comparable to those found in MVSC2)).

And at least we are still getting a DC version.

I don't understand how Capcom vs SNK 2 could benifit from hard drive too much. PS2 drive is twice as fast as the DC's (12x - 24x/2x DVD) but sometimes that means nothing when you don't program it right or your cache sucks! But wait, if the PS2 version loads (guessing since HD increases load time) than how much will the DC version load?

To me, DC loads faster than PS2....IMO.
Anyhow, I love DC so much and I don't really care about the price.

Well said, Silent Scope. I have noticed that the DC takes less time to load similar things than the PS2 does. The mere annoucement that CVSNK2 will use the hardrive makes me wonder how bad they will be without the attatchment.

Lets see if Capcom can make their PS2 games load as fast as their DC ones.

I don't think There will be an issue of loading for either one. I'll most likely get the PS2 version since I no longer own a DC. Lets hope if there released in america they'll fix the price (PS2 $49.99 and DC $39.99)!

I have no trouble executing moves with the dc's d-pad, except maybe sometimes executing hcfx2 in kof games. BTW, I hate doing 2 whole circles to execute a move in Capcom games (i.e. Zangief). I always jump up when I try to make a whole circle.

Because they need more money to make another hadoken games.
j/k

IMO...there are fixed number of people who will buy this game

Capcom knows that...
No matter they charge 5800 or 6800 Yen, DC fighting game freaks
will buy it as its possibly one of the last big title before DC die.

The number of buyer won't increase by much just because its
1000yen cheaper...but also not many people will give up buying it
because its 1000Yen higher than standard dc game price.

If I were capcom, I will definitely charge more.

6800 yen is kinda steep for a fighter.

I think SNKvsCAP was 5500 when it came out.

Capcom knows everyone that bought the first one will probly buy the 2nd one, I'd say the first week sales will be close to 100k units.

IMO there is no question SNKvsCAP 2 will be better on DC, it was a naomi game!

The DC port would have been the easiest to do, and I can't see there being anymore loading than what was in CvsSNK 1 which was almost instant.

The question is are they releasing it here in the USA? If I kenw they were I'd wait, since you'd get it for 29 or 39 bucks when it came here.

To me PS2 has an ugly picture, plus there isn't shit in the way of good arcade pads or sticks for PS2. I'd rather play on DC with my saturn pad.

Well, there will only be a max of 6 characters to be at one time (3 on 3) this time around. I guess there's a lot more animation to be found with the extra moves and buttons and all... but I don't see how it could be any less loading than CvsSNK. Hell, they used 3D backgrounds in MvsC2, and that loaded damn fast (and all 6 characters were in it at once).

Hell, I'd pay $89.99 for it... hope that doesn't get out to the import shops. LOL.

Spike, who can't wait for CvsSNK2
