Should there be a combonation of SF and DS??

We had this topic at ON as I recall, so I'll just give a quick recap of my thoughts on the idea of a SF/Vampire combo.

No me gusto.

Despite the obvious similarities in the two games, SF and VAM play significantly different. In order to make a combined version of the two you'd have to sacrifice a great deal from one or both of the games. So you'd either end up with Vampire plus a half assed Streetfighter, SF with half assed Vampire, or (more likely) half assed SF and Vampire. Look at the VS series, it's essentially a SF/VAM combo and none of the characters in those games really holds a candle to their normal representations. CvS aside, Capcom should shelf future combo titles and work on SF4, V4, or something new.

This is something I've thought of myself. However I don't think it's very likely. As Apathy Wind put it, the compromises would be far too great. This is the problem with crossovers. The attacks in Vampire (I don't like to use "Darkstalkers") are generally much more supernatural and overwhelming than those in SF, even compared to the VS. versions of the SF characters. The closest you'll probably get is with MvC2, although it has only four vampire characters. It does seem unusual to me, however, that Demitri hasn't been a playable character outside the Vampire games.

On a side note, does anyone else remember that Lilith was announced as a playable CvS2 character even before the US Dreamcast release of CvS1? I want to see her, but not the half(or one-quarter)-assed MvC version!
