for me it's EX Cammy because the addition of one super didn't redeem her lost of the cannon drill.

EX sagat is number 2 no matter how hard hitting and slobber knocking his hits may collide he gets easilly swept at high level play.

Can't you guys take this to the war room? this is about the third time you guys have had a go at each other. Weakest Character? Hmmm... Cammy and Sakura.... maybe. Yuri at times. Vega/Balrog can be a pain to work with as well....

Yeah Sakura is nearly worthless no matter how hard i try to make her work. and tips N' tricks even said she was far better, EONS BETTER than Yuri in this game.

Sakura is one of my favorite characters of all time, but I think she's not good in CvS. She has the combos, but does not do any damage.

Even placing her in EX mode so she can play in her old A3 verson doesn't help, for the combos are there (again) without the damage they usually take.

Therefore, I reluctantly place her as the "weakest link" in the game of CvS.

Anyone think its weird that although everyone agrees that Capcom made their fighters stronger than SNK's, Its mostly certain Capcom characters who are regarded as the weakest too? Just a thought.......

I think its simply un true that Capcoms cast is better then SNK's in CvS. Nakoruru owns the ratio 2 brackets, Yamazaki owns ratio 3's, and King is the best Ratio 1 by far. Both Japanese and American rankings came to the same conclusion as well.

you forgot about..

1, Blanka is a ratio 2 in ratio bracket
2. Balrog (boxer) is a ratio 3 in a ratio 2 brcket
3. Sagat is "said" to be the best character in the game (though i personally disagree)

not to mention all of them are cheap.

and let's not forget to say the SHOTOS

Kaumi invades the Neo-Geo forums!

Although I don't think King should be top tier for Ratio 1 characters (sorry... I just don't see it), I do agree that the SNK roster does just fine in CvS despite their limitations when you compare them to their KOF counterparts. Sure, it would have been better if the Capcom crew would have received more moves so that we could have a KOF '98 version of Mai playing in the game or a full strength Kyo. But considering that there are LOTS of SNK characters that usually place in the top 5 in tournaments shows that they can definitely stand their ground.

Kim, Yuri, Vice, Terry, Nakoruru, Yamazaki, King and Rugal seem to make appearances in or near the top all the time. Whereas with the Capcom squad, it's usually just Ryu, Guile, Dhalsim, Blanka and Balrog.

And of course... when CvS2 comes along, Athena & Yun will dominate so there!

I would go with Sakura and Cammy. Cammy got a raw deal in this game. Not too long ago I would have said Kyo but you have to play him differently than in the KOF series. He is a beast when used right.

VinylBoy: Hm...Rugal? OK, going off-topic a bit, why? I'd tried him a bit and never found him to be worth much aside from the instant kick super.

Thinking about it, I never thought that Kim was that good in CVS..... He just seemed really strange to control, when compared to the familiar SNK version.... Anyone disagree?

I'm just going by the results I've seen online from a variety of forums like this one. I don't use Rugal, so I wouldn't know exactly what people are doing with him that makes him tournament worthy.

Rain: Hm, regular Kim is good, but EX Kim is very powerful. One *major* advantage of both is the rush super, easy to combo and one of the few very-high-priority supers in the game. EX Kim's upwards triple kick is better than the Hienzan(can be comboed after a low jab or short very easily, good horizontal range, not bad priority either), and his 2nd super is better than normal Kim's air super(obvious reasons, sets up juggles and it's easy to combo too).

Basically, EX Kim can make great use of his low pokes with the moves I mentioned. And having that "Ho kick!" ( ) available to get yourself out of a jam is wonderful thing.

OK, that may have been a tad long-winded. Hope you got something out of it.

are you saying that Rugal practically gets Trashed by EVERYBODY in the game? (both normal and EX) well
IMO HE IS THE BEST BOSS when played right Yes even against Geese/Bison/Vega/Yamazaki/Sagat players who play expertly too..

BTW Rugal is the Best Sagat Player, there was a sagat who got a 50 win streak or something and My Rugal DID beat him..

Well EX Rugal IS weak but Normal Rugal NO WAY!!

But yes Rugal seems to be the waeakest WHEN YOU PLAYED HIM THE FIRST TIME as compared to how you play the other bosses (they seem stronger) But that all changes at high level skill play, you can jot down any analysis you want about probablitity of moves but it all comes down to experience I KNOW HOW TO PLAY as ALL 12 Bosses (normal and EX) and Rugal is my Top Gun (even the cheesy EX Bison is not that much of a problem).

Yuri. WHAT the Hell has Capcom done to her here?

She's not bad in the KOF series. However, in CvS it doesn't help that she is a Ratio 1 character.

The ratio system should go away for CvS2.

Yuri is fine as a R1. Her jumping LK and standing L/HK has crazy priority, and in SNK mode she's a monster since she can combo her Haoh-Sho-Koh-Ken with relative ease after 3-4 LP/LK attacks. In EX mode, she's supposed to have this fireball trap, but I've seen people break out of that with characters like Terry and Kim with no problems.

Sure, it would be great if she was a R2 or stronger, but at R1 she can definitely stand her own ground.

ADJUSTABLE RATIOS in CvS2... THAT IS THE ANSWER, PEOPLE! HOPEFULLY CAPCOM IS LISTENING...
